My wife and I built a big organic vegetable garden with various plots over the past 12 years. At first, the wild animals (rabbits, deer, etc.) did not bother the garden.From the third year onwards, they “found” the garden and the troubles began. First, I built a 30-inch-high wire fence (1” mesh) which kept out the rabbits. However, the deer still got inside.Last year (2019), I installed a 5-foot wire fence (2”x4” mesh) to keep out the deer. Then I tie wrapped 30” (1” mesh) plastic fence to the 5-foot wire fence to keep out the rabbits. The manufacturer stated it would keep out rabbits. It did for the remainder of 2019.So, this year (2020) I planted the garden knowing the vegetables would be safe. However, the rabbits began to chew holes in the plastic fence and entered between the 2”x4” wire mesh fence. Not sure why this happened. Maybe the local rabbits were getting desperate for food?I went on Amazon to find a better solution. I read extensively on the 19 to 23-gauge hardware fence and was not satisfied with the customer reviews.After additional searching I found this product (Fencer Wire 16 Gauge Black Vinyl Coated Welded Wire Mesh Size 1 inch by 1 inch (3 ft. x 50 ft.). I took a chance and ordered it. Best choice I made on garden fencing.While the price is more than the thinner gauge fencing it is well worth the price. Free shipping and fast delivery are a bonus.Since the fence is vinyl coated, I do not have to worry about rusting. Once I installed the fence around my 5-foot (2”x4” mesh) deer fence the rabbits have not be able to enter our various garden plots.We are both very happy with this fencing and will order additional rolls next year to protect other garden plots.

Put up an aluminum fence that my dog was getting through. Purchased the 1" square wire in 100' rolls, to put around the bottom and used zip tights to hold. Works perfect! Pretty easy to use but stiff. Need a good set of wire cutters or tin snips to cut. Has a nice black coating.

Good quality, but not square. There was a 1 inch shift on the bottom of the 4 ft dimension of the role that ran up around 18" May have been shipping damage, but it would have been nice to have it square. Had to trim the uneven parts and create some waste.

I added this to my existing fence to help contain my new puppy. Works perfectly! Looks nice!

Wire roll was in great shape (no dents and wasn’t smushed. It looks clean and flat and really nice!

Nice to keep rabbits out of my garden. The black coated finish really looks good.

If you want quality fence, this is for you. If you’re going to the work to put up a fence, do it once and do it right with this-Very well made!
