I have a 3xxxx fat ps2 and according to your guide, i need a network adapter. i'm new to ps2 modification so what does this mean and what should i do?

Also for PS2 games that are over 4gbs use usbutil this chops up the game in smalller sizes so you can play like I know midnightclub 3 dub edition remix is a little over 8gbs only use USButil... only if trying to put (game title).iso on whatever you choose if you choose and get an error cannot move game because it ecceeds over 4gb then you'll have to use it ... One more thing if the game you put on your flashdrive for example like I did and the game that's showing in it says that's the game is fragmented you will have to download on your PC I recommend defraggler and I know with my pc do not defrag more than one game "go for higher numbers first" then the smaller ones cause I found out by doing multiple games at once will take ages and will make you turn grey before you even get to play them 🤣 I hope this helps

You should try making a backup of the game. Be sure to patch it with the ESR disk patcher. It won't be read otherwise. Also dvd-r's tend to work best.

Do i need to have a sata hdd to run this?

You can use a USB Drive if you are desperate enough, but you can find Hard Drive Adapters that use either IDE or SATA. In another sense, there is homebrew tools that allow you to make Backup Disc copies, and change the region to a Dev Console.

The product is labelled at version 1.966 on website and the card but the software is 1.8 and the apps are outdated and dont work properly

Great for PS2/Retro gaming enthusiasts

Works out of the box!

Worked first try pretty much right out of the box. I bought another Free McBoot card elsewhere, and it had nothing but issues, this one works OUT OF THE BOX with MX4SIO. Just format your SD Card and it works no problems. Make sure you’re using OPNPS2LD v1.2.0 MX4.
