The handles broke instantly, before I even got off the ground and put my full weight onto them. I am 6'5" and weigh about 210 lbs, so I'm heavy but I'm not THAT heavy. They are pretty flimsy, and I wasn't able to do a single chin-up before the product broke. Picture included.

Where's the gym when you need it?
Ok, I ordered these pull-up pads due to the gym being closed due to covid-19. I have used them in a regular basis for two months straight and then BAM!!! One of them broke right in the middle of a pull-up. Luckily I broke my fall and didn't sustain any injury. Due to the breakage I can't recommend this product. God please let the gym open back up soon.

More cracking of the handles
Even though I had read the negative reviews for this product, I purchased it anyway. I thought that maybe the guys were too heavy or were jerking, instead of slowly doing chin-ups. I weigh only 153 pounds and was doing slow controlled chin-ups. On the third one, one of the handles cracked. Do not buy this product!

but it is what it is and it does a great job as a super easy portable chin up equipment
Bought it as a home~away chin up bar when traveling, very light weight but solid enough, don't think u can slap the bar by just doing chin up * I am 170 lbs *. It is uncomfortable to use as ur body position is kinda awkward...but it is what it is and it does a great job as a super easy portable chin up equipment. One surprise is, after my 2 weeks trip using it @ hotel, when I got back home to my regular chin up bar, I found my self able to do 3 more reps before using the lifeline handle...must be the awkward chin up position has the same function as positive loading.....

Broke with p90x use, might be ok for travel
I'm editing my former review to let other buyers know that this pull up bar set does not work when used with P90x, the sole reason why I got it. I weigh 148 pounds, and about 5'10", so I am not exactly heavy. After a few days of admittedly hard use (multiple sets of 10+ reps at fairly high speed), a crack opened in one of the handles. I rotated this handle to avoid getting the strap stuck in the crack, and this worked ok for awhile. Then a crack opened on the other side of the handle, and another in the second handle. Today, the strap pulled out a giant chunk of the first handle, making it too sharp to use.I know I probably used this too hard, but this was not a sturdy product. I wouldn't recommend it as anything except for a stopgap when traveling. It is very portable, but the advantages over any other bar end there.
