This is the most useful book I've found for making quilts out of pictorial fabrics. She shows the reader how to combine big cuts and little, scrappy cuts to showcase the fabric while still messing with it enough to feel that you've done something creative. Worth every cent!

This new book is colorful and birght, print is large enough to read .. the ideas are fresh and do-able. I especially like the large color photos so I can see how my fabric pictures and patterns are going to play out. The instructions are well written, easy to follow.

One night I was searching the Internet for the pattern for an animal quilt I had seen once. In the process I came on a pattern that is in this book. I liked it and when I discovered the source was this book, I did something totally out of character and ordered it immediately. When it came and I began turning pages I was excited to see that I already own fabric that was used to make many of the quilts! Although some quilters buy their fabric after they have a pattern, I am a quilter who will buy special cuts of fabric and then hold them until the right pattern comes along. I have shelves filled with books and none of them have captivated me the way this one has. Sandy Turner is amazing and it's hard to believe this is her first book! It holds the patterns for the next four or five quilts I'll be making (all in a row) with the cover quilt being the one I'll start with.

Great ideas and usable instructions . Who hasn't purchased a panel "this is just the thing" and its sat there for a year or three . Read this book . You have nothing to lose but stash . fabric does not come to life until you cut it . Now you can bring me of it to life

I loved this book. I am a beginner at making quilts and was gifted beautiful vintage big floral prints. I believe I can make these quilts, and they will be lovely.

I had hoped for more explicit instructions for using large-scale fabrics. There were not many designs and those used smaller "fussy -cut" pieces. Still, an addition to my stash of quilt books.

This book has a good balance that allows your imagination to come to life without the detailed skill required for a true art quilt.

In diesen Projekten werden große Blöcke aus einem großgemusterten Stoff mit kleineren Blöcken aus dem gleichen Stoff und anderen Beistoffen - i.d.R. aufgelockert durch Fying Geese - kombiniert. Damit sind die Motive teilweise unzerschnitten und sehr gut erkennbar, in den kleineren Teilen wirken die Farben. Die Blöcke werden nicht symmetrisch, sondern a-symmetrisch angeordnet, so dass ein sehr interessantes Layout entsteht, dass sich deutlich von der herkömmlichen Quiltgestaltung mit klar erkennbaren, gleichgroßen Blöcken unterscheidet und mehr in den Bereich Art-Quilt einzuodnen ist. Trotzdem sind diee Quilts auch für Anfänger gut nachzuarbeiten. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Buch für alle, die einmal etwas Anderes ausprobieen wollen.

I first saw this book at my library and loved it so much I had to have my own copy. This has some great ideas for incorporating big prints and/or panel prints in your quilt. I love the cover photo quilt and hope to be able to make this. If you have a lot of big print fabrics this book would be useful

Large Print fabrics are often a puzzle on how to use them, this book however gives some good ideas, with good instructions. It encourages you to use these fabrics with uncomplicated projects. It also includes some ideas for Borderie Perse in the projects. I consider a worthwhile book to add to your collection.

This is an excellent book for quilting with large-scale prints, of which I have several pieces, but didn't know how to incorporate them into a quilt. Now I can do it. The book arrived on time & in excellent condition.
