Dobeck Tfi Electronic Jet Kit Harley Davidson

I purchased this for my '09 Nighster on the advice of a forum veteran as an alternative to a Vance & Hines Fuelpak (or preset fuel "tuner" alternative). I was very surprised at the ease of installation (did not have to lift the fuel tank as per the instructions) and ease of actually setting the tunes. If you understand how the four parameters or "pots" are set (or just follow the very detailed instructions for each "pot"), you can tune it as easily - almost the same as you would "tune" a carburetor.As per the instructions, my settings varied slightly from the "recommended settings" for my particular model bike and aftermarket items. I have found cold and hot starting, idling, acceleration and cruising all to have improved / smoothed out significantly. I would not say that I have gained any power (solely from the tuner that is) or improved MPG, but rather maintained my stock MPG with slightly improved power with aftermarket exhaust and air intake. Another nice feature is I can change my mod setup and just re-set the "pots" as instructed and off I go again - no downloading new programs or getting a new tune flashed to the fuel controller, etc.Overall, I like this product a lot right off the bat, but only time will tell if this will live up to my expectations. I will revise this review after a few months of use and tweaking with updates.
