Here's my review of judgment. Hopefully I did well, and I hope it will help those on the fence Just beat judgement. Here are my thoughts: Gameplay: 7.5/10 The gameplay plays similarly to Yakuza 6 and kiwami 2; however there are improvements that make it better. I do feel the main characters fighting style is meant to look flashy and captivating, which sometimes it is, but the two styles were never really much I alternated between. I found myself constantly fighting in tiger instead of crane. Maybe if the incentive to try each was a little better, I could find myself between the two, but crane was really only used for the wall finisher to knockout multiple foes. I played on hard, so I was really looking for damage, but maybe on a different difficult I would switch between the two more often. Also, tailing missions are not too enjoyable (a gaming curse plagued in the community) and some of the better detective mechanics were thrown to the side. I feel if these detective mechanics were incorporated more, and tailing was done less, the gameplay would be an 8/8.5 Story: 9/10 The story takes on the role of a lawyer who managed to learn martial arts from his father at a young age, and proved the innocence of a man put on trial for murder. (Only .1% of cases like this are proven innocent) That quickly changes as he becomes a disgraced-lawyer-gone-detective attempting to solve the mass homicide plaguing the town. To me, the story remains very consistent with engaging characters, maze-like twists, and a depth of unraveling that forces you to question society as a whole. Moral grey areas are brought to light as the serial killer known to take eyes from his victims run rampant. Easily one of the best stories in the Yakuza universe (Also, as a side note, I love yagami and kaitos friendship. A true bromance that's subtle and not overbearing) Extras: 9/10 Honestly, it's an RGG studios creation jam packed with mini games, side cases, and cat pictures. What I love about the few side cases I played is that each one takes on an interesting story worth solving. Whether it be finding the elusive panty thief, the hidden stalker, or chasing down the wind casted "hat" made so obviously of hair. Each side case feels special as it involves the player in a developed world. If you are looking for a game that gives you a lot more excitement once the games over, look no further. Graphics/Music/Voice Act:8/10 The graphics are always extremely impressive for the Yakuza series. Maintaining expressive faces, beautiful environments, and an aesthetic that matches the overall tone. The music for this game is enjoyable, but not an entire soundtrack download. I feel it hits all the right notes for certain scenes though, and that's still something for me. For the first time I played this universe in English, so the voice acting is different than what most fans are used to. I'm sure the Japanese was great, but I found the English to be mostly enjoyable. The team had a hard task, especially with how expressive character are with their mouths, and managed to pull it off. Some lip syncing is off, some voices are odd choices, but the cast is full of familiar voices that mostly do well. Final thoughts: Overall, this game will probably be my top game for 2019. While tailing missions become extremely boring, they don't happen often and the fantastic narrative paired with improved gameplay manages to keep the player going. During Yagamis journey of redemption; friends are made, morals are questioned, and a struggle dealt within the whole plot feels real. I found true relief, sorrow, and excitement as a nail in the coffin is finally placed and a dark force is brought to justice. I personally rate this game a 9 or a 9.5/10, but objectively give it an 8. A Fantastic game and world worth diving into. My grade 9.5 (hoping it comes to PC to play again)

If you liked playing Shenmue, games like Streets of Rage, like detective shows such as CSI, you will really like this game. It’s really fun

Great game, especially if you are a fan of the "Yakuza" series, even if you are new, it would not affect your game much as this is NOT a Yakuza game, it is it's own. The game is a mix of Ace Attorney and Yakuza. It was a fun game totally worth buying, it's a lot easier than Yakuza, and gameplay is about 40-70hrs long, even trying to Platinum the game. It has a lot to offer, side cases, secrets, and worth replaying the second time! Although Karaoke is missing from the mini game if you are a Yakuza fan, it doesn't take away from the games fun! It has a more serious tone than Yakuza, again this is it's own game and not a Yakuza series.
