Q: What does the "r" mean"? what's the difference between 100 fusible vinyl vs 100r fusible vinyl? or 102r in this case?

Don’t know what the “r” means for pellon . Bosal brand uses the “r” to represent single sided fusible. The“100” is clear glossy vinyl and “102” is clear matte vinyl

Q: Is this machine washable when applied to canvas? I want to use it for a shopper tote bag.

The Vinyl Fuse Matte product is not machine washable. We suggest that you hand wash in cold water, or wipe clean with a damp cloth. Hope this helps!

Vinyl-Fuse should not alter the appearance of the fabric in any way. It simply serves as a protective layer. Pellon's regular Vinyl-Fuse has a gloss appearance while the Matte removes the shine. I hope that this is helpful!

Stain resistance is dependent on your fabric. The fuse vinyl merely makes it water resistant. Yes, iron on first before sewing.
