Excellent addition to the router
This is a well built sled and runs circles around the Rockler coping sled. Assembly was easy and the jig runs square. Only problem I saw was that the miter bar on the bottom of the sled was a little too thick for the miter slot of my cheaper router table. Two things to fix this problem: put a 1/16 inch shim on either side of the jig sled, or get a quality built router table. I opted for the later, and the sled works great with it.

excellent quality
This is a tool well worth the investment. If you want to ensure that joints created on your router table are flawless, you need this tool. I tried a couple of homemade solutions and nothing worked all that well. First pass with this sled was perfect. The quality (materials, and design) of the sled was way better than I expected.

The Woodhaven 528 Small Coping Sled is an excellent sled and well worth the money. I have owned several sleds and this is by far the best. I have made several rail & stile panels with excellent results "any mistakes it was due to the woodworker", my grade for the 528 is performance / cost = 1 Great Product.Hey nuff said, I would recommend this product to any woodworker,Thanks Woodhaven

Pros and cons, but as it is, it's too expensive!
While this is a well made sled, what there is of it, it would work so much better with just a few small additions/changes:Set nut on top of clamp would be so much easier to use if it was a wing nut or something like that (have changed mine--much better now)It definitely needs a second clamp. At $30 a pop and then additional $10 for shipping, certainly am not going to buy one from Woodhaven. ;) For the price of the sled, they could easily have included a second.Grommet on clamp could be shorter OR Woodhavens 'lifts' could have been included which would help on shoulders. For the price, one would think they could have included that...Having rubber grommets the shape and size of the nylong bushings on the uprights that hold the wood in place would have been a huge improvement. Wood would be much less likely to slip.Overall: what you get is good stuff, nice bottom will not distort, nice machining of it and miter bar (fits my table just fine)nice hardware. BUT wood tends to slip a bit (resulting in slightly rough shoulders) as bit pulls on it no matter how well clamped it is with the one clamp. In order to affectively use this sled, I have some modifications to make on it first. :( Why oh why didn't Woodhaven attend this at the factory? Cheap cheap of them no matter how you slice it. :(

Double-duty with a small modification
The sled does exactly what it's supposed to do. The 1/2" thick base has no appreciable flex. The sacrificial fence, using shop scraps instead of a costly plastic fence, is a big plus. I just finished routing edges on a kitchen full of custom-made cabinet doors and I used the sled on everything. Also, I replaced one of the stops with a clamp and use the sled as a small parts holder on the router table. Works well as opposed to a separate small parts holder. I feel this is the best value for a coping sled on the market.

Well Made but
It was thicker than I thought and I wish it had another clamp.Overall it is well made and worked very well. I made my rails for my doors and they turned out fine.

Indespensible for making aised panels
This was my first attempt at making a large number of raised panels. This coping sled is the only way I could have accomplished the task. The assembly instructions were somewhat vague, but once I put it together it was quite easy to use. It would have been impossible to make perfect stiles without this coping sled. The hold-downs keep the work piece tightly in place and were very easy to use. The nylon adjustments in the mitre bar keep the sled perfectly centered in the mitre slot. I ran off two dozen stiles in just two hours. Great product!

Expensive but Highly Recommended
I used this to cope rails for cabinet doors. Worked very well. Work piece is held securely and helps achieve accurate, repeatable cope joints.
