My family just love to go to football matches and in the colder months love to take with them a comforting pie and using this simple to use gadget and handy pastry template, which makes two conveniently sized and filling pies.I can be happy knowing that my family can still have a pie on match day, I know exactly what’s gone into them using left-overs, saving me time and money.I even have batch pie making days and put them in the freezer, ready for the next footie season.Please note that this gadget is not designed for cooking raw meats but if you have pre-made a stew or casserole, even left over curry or chilli, use this to make your pies. I also agree wholeheartedly with one reviewer who said to ignore the instructions of pre-heating it prior to inserting your pastry, you’ll burn yourself easily and makes inserting the pastry into the mould difficult as the pastry starts to melt. Start each batch from cold, you’ll still have a beautifully cooked pie in 10 minutes!

This is a lovely little gadget. Easy to use and clean. The pies are cooked perfectly. The only downside for me is getting the pie out. I just tip them out. (One of my son’s has a different make and has the same problem. Plus, his was far more expensive than this one) so that’s the reason for 4star instead of 5.

Very pleased I bought,after a lot of deliberation and research.Nice and deep,haven’t had any failures.Even when the pastry looks a bit over cooked,it is still nice and soft and not hard.only one complaint,the green light is very hard to see!

I don’t usually do reviews but I must say this pie maker actually works would definitely recommend 100%.

Impressively easy to use, though getting the pastry the right thickness does take a little practice (even if you buy the ready rolled short crust). Of course the pie is only as good as the filling, but when you make your own, you can at least guarantee the quality.

This pie maker is well made and definitely deep fill, however for me it was better in my mind than in execution...I could not get the cooked pies out, each pie took more than twice as long to cook as suggested in the manual, if the pastry is too thick it takes even longer to cook, to thin and the contents spill out everywhere. The worst aspect was the difficulty in getting said pies out when they are cooked. what is point of delicious pies if they are stuck in pie maker? The only way I could get them out was to tip the whole machine upside down onto a plate which ended up being very messy. I love a kitchen gadget but this one was a big nope for me. I gave it three stars because it is a pie maker!

Looks cheap and not worth $70. Plug is an American one and no Australian one supplied.Would not recommend
