will this support an audible format?

Audible is a subscription service. The files are embedded with DRM protection and they do not let you control the files as if you owned them. However, there are a lot of tutorials how to convert the Audible AAX files to MP3 files from Audible with third party software. This is mostly due to digital rights issue. Here are few links to help: https://www.videosolo.com/tutorials/convert-audiobook-to-mp3.html https://www.tuneskit.com/audiobook-tips/convert-audible-aa-aax-to-mp3.html http://www.macsome.com/convert-to-mp3/convert-aax-to-mp3-mac.html Another source for FREE audio-books is your local library in conjunction with the Libby-Overdrive app. https://www.overdrive.com/apps/libby/ https://help.overdrive.com/en-us/0004.html I hope that helps. If you have more questions, please email us at support@h2oaudio.com and we'll help you get your audio book on the SONAR memory.

Will these connect to an iPhone by blutooth?

Since Bluetooth range under water is only few inches - you will need to keep the source very close to the headphones. We would recommend using an smart watch like Apple Watch and tuck that under the swim cap. If you want to listen to your iPhone that is on the side of the pool - we would recommend the STREAM2. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078TQJKNJ Please take a look at this article that outlines some good options for you: https://h2oaudio.com/blogs/news/spotify-while-swimming

My firmware is 2112V1.1. If there’s a firmware update, how do I get it?

This is the latest version of firmware.

How good is the sound quality?

Sound quality on mp3'sis quite good, actually even better underwater!!m BUT the bluetooth doesn't really work b/c bluetooth doesn't transmit through water in general.
