Q: how do you dispense hot caramel mix that has reached its correct temp? if you scrape off the excess what do you do with it? put it back in the pot?

Depending on the size of molds you have bought. . and your recipe, the entire batch will fit in the molds. . you just pour in and use an offset spatula to spread around to fill each cavity. If you have more caramel. . then you will have to have another mold/pan to pour it into. A common mistake for candy making. .do not scrap the sides of a caramel pan . .and do not pour caramel back into the pot. Caramel that is scraped from the sides of the pan will always be 'harder' than the main batch. . and pouring excess back into the pot. . you run the risk of 'sugaring' your caramel.

Q: Can i use for wax melts

I'm not sure what wax melts are but it can withstand hot caramel. That's pretty hot. Finished product pops out amazingly well.

Q: What is the trick for pouring hot caramels into mold ?

I understand they have funnels to help the pour be more precise but we just pour the hot caramel over/into the holes and mold in general then use a wooden spatula to smooth it off the mold to fill the holes. There's a real sweat spot with regards to temperature to easily accomplish this so you have to work fast. I've tried an off-set spatula and a rubber spatula but the wooden one seems to work best.
