An Interesting Journey for the Tastebuds
I got this product in late April 2019, after a Costco trip on a cloudy trip with my housemates. It was originally placed in the freezer for reasons unbeknownst to me, but last night my housemate offered me one microwaved. Since I was suffering from too many probiotic gummy samples, I declined at the time. Today, however, I saw her grabbing an Uncrustable from the fridge, where the box had been moved to. I asked her if I could have one, and she tossed me the small plastic wrapped item and I failed to catch it as I was lying down with my laptop on my lap, killing my eggs. I bent over backwards in a modified bridge and grabbed it, and then unwrapped it.As I bit into the cold bread, I noticed the dry texture of the peanut butter inside. It was incredibly sweet. The white bread was nice and mild enough to compliment the sickly sweetness of the jelly. I actually had to hold it back to notice the shine of the jelly, and how it stayed in place unlike the traditional and old fashioned jams I had used to make PB&Js in the past. It almost shimmered in the yellow ambient lighting of my living room. As I took more of it in, I realized that it was almost too sweet for me to handle, yet I couldn't stop. My palate as a child was more accustomed to the saltiness of olives in brine or the fat present in fish, or the metallic taste of beef. This unfamiliar yet somehow overtly familiar taste was full of preservatives...I almost felt like I was eating an Oreo, but it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crust removed, crimped, and bound together like a dumpling. As I finished the small sandwich, I couldn't help but wonder, was this what childhood had been like for American kids? I grew up with peanut butter nad jelly sandwiches as well, but the jelly never had the slight jiggle that was present here, and the bread and PB were never quite as sweet. As I tossed the wrapper onto my coffee table, I took a minute to thank America for the gift of peanut butter.

I can't believe people actually eat this garbage food...
I purchased this product because Smuckers is a name I previously trusted. I bit into it and could not imagine anything so vile! It had little relationship to anything edible in my opinion. The peanut butter was hard and brittle and the jam was sickeningly sweet!! The box said NO HIGH FRUCOSE CORN SYRUP. Hard to imagine. It was so bad I was unable to swallow it. I further checked it out on Wikipedia, thinking it was probably a new product. I was amazed to discover that there were people on Amazon who had given it raves. WHAT?? And Smuckers has fought hard for this loser. There were patent wars which Smuckers LOST for obvious reasons. Wiki says that Smuckers gives the product to firefighters. Most people on Amazon complain about the high cost but that would be the least of the problem. I am amazed that it is even allowed on the market--not based on safety but based on TASTE. I guess people with consume anything.

Awesome snacks for kids AND their parents! YUMMY!!!
As a very busy mom of 2 teens, one thing I've learned is to keep good snacks in the house at all times! My son and daughter both are in LOVE with the Smucker's brand Peanut Butter and grape jelly sandwiches. They will seriously go through a box of 4 in 1 day. I enjoy that I can keep the products in the freezer until they are ready to be eaten. They taste so good that even my husband and I eat then on the go before work, after work, or even as a snack in the office. Each sandwich has only 210 calories and 2g of fat...MUCH better than a candy bar! When we go camping this product is a must have for the ice chest. Dont expect these sandwiches to last long, everyone in the house LOVES them.

What A Nice Surprise!
I met my first Uncrustible following running a half marathon. It was part of the usual food lineup of bananas, etc. one bite of this little gem and I was hooked ( and I don't eat much peanut butter). This item made me smile as I made my way back to the car for the ride home, even though I like crust on my bread.
