How I Made the Winding Mechanisms Easier!
Hi! Writing a review to say that I love this timer but really struggled with the winding mechanisms. The bits to wind up the clocks are RIGHT next to the bits to reset the clocks, and because everything is fairly stiff it was always a pain to reset each time. Easiest fix in the world, after I wound everything up, I just unscrewed those bits leaving only the mechanisms that reset the time. SO MUCH EASIER. I just keep the other pieces handy for when the timer needs another boost, but since that's rarely needed it's just a lot better to remove those for day-to-day use. I hope this helps someone with weak little hands like me!

Works fine but the springs for winding are tighter than I expected upon first use.

Works great and way more fun than digital
When I think of a chess clock, this is what I think of, not the digital ones. This may not be competition quality, but I just play for fun, and this is much more fun than digital.

Way too Stiff. Returned.
I had to return this item. I liked the classic look and was excited to receive it even though I knew it would not live up to the classic German made clock it copies. However, the time setting mechanism was so stiff that after setting the clocks for two games I was like, definitely not. I am a fully capable full grown man and I could barely turn the knob to move the clocks (in the proper orientation). Two stars only because it worked… but barely.

Do not buy this Piece of Made in C H I N A overpriced plastic garbage. I haven’t felt like I got hustled in decades. I do now.

did not arrive in working condition
One of the keys that is used to wind it up was not on when it arrived .Kept trying to screw it in place but it would not go on. Will try to glue it. if it does not stay on it will be easy to lose as it is small.

Didn't last 3 months
Gave this to my son as a Christmas present. It stopped working mid march. Doesn't everything come with a one year warranty?? Amazon doesn't allow me to return it. If I could rate it a 0 I would but apparently 1 is the lowest possible.
