Nice
It is very versatile and easy to use. Not as heavy as I expected but still very sturdy. Great value with the comfort of not burning your hands wile trying to strain.

Good if pot or bowl doesn’t have a lip
This colander works well, but it’s hard to press open the clips, which makes it super hard to use on a bowl or pot that has much of a lip.Super sturdy and dishwasher safe, plus doesn’t take up a lot of room in the cabinet or dishwasher.

Skeptical but now a believer!
Not gonna lie. I really thought this wasn’t going to work and was I wrong! Sturdy, usable on any size pot, and really does the trick. Very easy to clean and overall, we are super pleased with this purchase!

The strainer you didn't know you needed
It really does make straining pots so much less a chore. I have colanders, strainers, etc. galore. This one single strainer can take care of almost everything. As long as the food is bigger than the holes in the strainer, this will be my go-to. And it's hefty, so it can handle the weight of, say, boiled potatoes. It's so easy to clean, given it's made of silicone.Only complaint - the pinchers can be a bit hard to pinch to get over the lip of a pot or bowl - especially if the lip has a ledge to it requiring even more strength to pinch open to get over the ledge. But that tight clip also means the strainer isn't going anywhere when you've got a lot of water/food in the pot.

Great for what it is. I do still prefer a traditional colander.
I bought the Snap N Strain Pot and Pasta Strainer as an alternative to my traditional silicone colander. My previous colander broke, and I am in the process of moving, so I was looking for something on the inexpensive and smaller side that would prove convenient and not bulky when it came time to move to my new place. I intend on buying a more traditional colander, but I thought this would be a great substitute in the meantime. As someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I was really excited to find an easier way to strain my food, finding something that allows me to keep the food still in the pot, rather than having to transfer the food back and forth between the pot and colander. In simple terms, does it strain the food, yes. Were there some challenges, yes. When I first used the strainer, I thought the concept itself was very easy to understand, but I found when attaching the strainer to the pot, you have to really push down on the strainer for it to clip onto the pot and become secured. While I like that the strainer does become rather secure once clipped on properly, it is the struggle to get it clipped on that I find worrisome. When dealing with hot food/liquids, the last thing I want to do is feel like I am struggling with the pot/strainer.I also found that, depending on the size of your food, the food can slip out on the top. I've noticed this more so is the case with larger food items or when you have more food in the pot, for example, a family-size box of tortellini. This can prove wasteful if you're not careful. I recommend a bowl underneath or something to try to catch the food. You also need to tilt the pot quite a bit to get all the water out. I have found that some water can get trapped and you can't really shake out the water like with a traditional colander.Despite the issues I found, I think this is a great tool when you're in a bind. I don't think it replaces all the benefits I have found with a traditional colander, but it does what I need it to do for now. Once I move into my new place and purchase my preferred colander, can I say that this will be moving from its spot in the cupboard? No, I don't think so.

Pots with a thick rim are a bit of a struggle to fit
So this really works, and I threw out the cheap hard plastic strainer that you would hold up to the pot. This product really makes the whole process a one handed operation, as you don't have to hold a pot in one hand and the strainer in another. It worked for different pasta shapes, including spaghetti. Fits in my drawer, dishwasher safe. I am really happy with it, BUT, if your pot has a rimmed edge, my advice is secure the strainer to the pot before you start cooking! You have to wiggle the clips around and over any type of edge. If the pot has straight sides, then it's easy, but I still clip it on before I have to deal with boiling water getting splashed up on hands.

Wish I had bought it sooner
I love this strainer. It works just like the description says. It fits all sizes of pots and pans. I have extreme peripheral neuropathy in my right hand and need both hands on the pan handle to drain it. I can’t fiddle with trying to use the pan lid to keep the food from falling out. This truly makes it easy and mess free. Just throw it in the dishwasher to clean. Its smaller size makes storing easy too. Just buy it already!

Handy strainer
This is a very useful strainer for use on different sized pots. I have used for small and large diameter pots and it clips into place easily and stays put while draining the water. I would highly recommend it.
