I am probably the last person in the US to get a selfie stick. (I know, embarrassing!) And I did need my kiddo to explain how to get the selfie stick connected to my phone. But once we got that done, it was easy to use.This set includes a selfie stick/tripod, a gray nylon drawstring bag to keep it in, two lithium batteries, and an extra knob and screw to stabilize the rotating bracket. The selfie stick is white, and when it's folded up it's just over 8 3/4" long when it's not in use. This selfie stick's stainless pipe extends to about 44" (from handle to phone). Your phone fits into a bracket at the end of the selfie stick, and you can use that to rotate the phone for your photo.The tripod retracts into the base of the selfie stick, and helps you to stabilize the stick for your photo. The bracket can rotate 360 degrees, so that you can photograph your subject in landscape, portrait, or even a diagonal mode. There's a detachable button for taking your photo (you can also use the button while it's still attached to the selfie stick).You'll need to open your photo app and set your phone to Bluetooth, then the selfie stick will connect itself to your phone and you'll be ready to go. And when you're finished, everything can be stowed in your nylon drawstring bag, which is small and light enough to carry with you. Easy peasy (even if you need technical assistance from your child).

The remote works well, but it's not a very sturdy tripod. As a selfie stick, it will work really well.
