Great Replacement!
Ok, it’s a known fact that Chevy makes one of the worst key fobs. I’ve never met any Chevy owner who’s fob didn’t have the rubber wearing down or where one of the buttons were hanging on by the smallest thread ever. This key fob is slightly bulkier than the OEM one. It might take some getting used to it’s dimensions. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just you go from holding/handling something for so long, that a newer version of that same thing just feels weird at first. I’m sure, with time, you will get used to it and if you try and hold an OEM Chevy fob, now the OEM fob would feel weird to you.The buttons are a hard plastic, so no more breaking buttons! But, they are definitely easier to actuate/click/press. You might get put off by this at first, but it should just take a little bit of readjustment. Now, for the operation of transferring the OEM internals AND key/blade to the new one. It’s fairly easy and straight forward. The only thing, especially if you do not want to pay to have the new key/blade cut, you are going to have to transfer the old blade to the new flip out mechanism. The picture of tools were just to show what I used to remove and transfer the blades. I used the tweezers to start the initial removing of the pin that locks the blade to the flipping mechanism. Once I got that started, I used that small tool, that looks like a toy, to remove the pin fully. It has a small hex driver on it, which fit perfectly in the hole the pin was in. Now, this is where you might need to put in some elbow grease. My old blade wouldn’t fit in the mechanism due to the blade being ever so slightly bigger, it would only insert about halfway . That’s where that metal filer on my multi-tool came into play. I had to shorten the end that inserts into the mechanism slightly and round off the corners. Took about 2 mins to do that. If this is the same for you, just file off a little bit at a time and keep trying to insert it between each time you shave off a little. I wish I took a picture of the old blade’s insert tab, but I already had everything together and didn’t want to disassemble it again. Just know, my version was more squared off, than the new blade, which is slightly rounded. Once I round the corners slightly, it fit like a glove!Once I got it to fit, I was able to place the pin back in and close everything. All the buttons work, car starts up with no problem, it works just as you think it would. Better buttons, looks better IMO, and I don’t have to worry about the buttons breaking off. Couldn’t be happier!Update: Nothing bad, so don’t worry. For some reason, I came back to look at this review and noticed some of the pictures I took for this review weren’t added to my review. Reason? IDK. One was of the tools I used to remove the pins and to shape the insert end of my OEM key/blade into the new housing. The other one, I was everything taken apart and of the new shell’s interior. IDK if they were taken down by Amazon or if someone reported those images and then they were taken down.Anyways, the key fob is still doing great, no complaints. I prefer it over the OEM one 100%!

Very nice case
All I had to do was get my key cut and install the circuit board. Works great, only annoying thing is I accidentally fat finger the trunk button when unlocking it, that is extremely fun in the rain, but a very nice fob otherwise.

Awesome upgrade!
Bought to replace the broken case on my key fob that was the previous design style. The control board and key blade swapped over easily and this new one just feels so nice in the hand. Huge upgrade and glad I did it!

Not perfect.
The back ot the case has a circle inlay for the factory logo (not included). My vehicle has a chevy bowtie which does not fit. I had to loosen the lower screw as it was causing the remote to hold the panic button on my alarm.... Neighbors loved it! Lol.

Nice Key
Bought for my 2012 SS camaro without remote start. Note: it is very hard to disassemble the factory switchblade key, I used a small dremel tool and flathead screwdriver being very careful not to damage the circuit board. Install of the switchblade is fairly easy, I used a very small philips head screwdriver and hammer to remove the pin and wiggle the key out to reinstall in the this one. Works great once you're done!
