Minn Kota 1854107 Telescoping Extension Handle/MKA-43

I used it on a Minn Kota Endura 30. Clamped on easy enough and didn’t slip. The extender part worked great too.

Awesome Extension Handle…As always, I do a lot of research and read reviews before I purchase. This is a quality made handle and I got the 17-25 in. version. I made a small modification to the handle as the photo shows. On the knob that tightens the handle to the trolling motor, I removed the knob and put a hard rubber washer in the center with stainless steel washers on each side. Hopefully this will keep the knob from ever coming loose and loosing the handle. Instructions are very simple. Got this for my 14 ft.. Jon boat with a Minn Kota Endura 40 lbs. thrust trolling motor.You will not be disappointed if you purchase one.

I bought this for my Suzuki 20 HP outboard. The tiller is too fat to full attach the extension handle, but the tiller narrows enough at the tip for the extension handle to be secured onto it. I bought the adjustable extension handle which works fine, but in retrospect I wish I would have bought the solid handle.

I loved the look and build of this extension. Everything about is comfortable and has good finishes including a soft grip handle. How tough could it be to slip onto my Minn Kota. When I finally tried to put it on I couldn't make it fit securely and was about to return it.I shopped around for a replacement and found most other vendors were more expensive so I tried the Amazon Minn Kota handle again.Turns out there's a 6" rubber sleeve inside the attachment collar, I suppose to make it fit smaller handle grips than my Minn Kota Saltwater Riptide model. Time to get out the pliers loosen u and yank the sleeve out. Now it fits perfectly and I'm happy but frustrated that there were no instructions warning me of this roadblock. The sleeve takes a bit of a yank to get out so get your long nose pliers if you face the same problem.

We go to Canada yearly and use camp boats. The handles on the camp boat motors are always short and make the driver seat seem way too far forward. I always had to sit sideways and crank my neck to see forward. With this handle I can sit in the driver seat facing forward and drive the boat for long periods without torturing my neck, and at my advancing age that's huge. It installs in seconds, grips well, and so far has held up to a lot of use. Highly recommended.

Handle works good but really have to lock it down so that the “extendable lock“ does not turn with throttle and release

While shopping, I read a review that characterized this product as "flimsy." I do not understand that review. I bought the extension handle for my MinnKota transom mount trolling motor. It fits the control tiller on the motor very well. There is no wobble in steering. When you tighten the adjustable sleeve properly, it stays locked and the motor can be controlled well through all speeds, forward as well as reverse. The extension handle does not seem flimsy at all and should last indefinitely. With the adjustable tiller on the motor and and the adjustable extension, there is a wide range of lengths. I have been very happy with the product.

Just what I needed to reach my trolling motor on my two man bass boat. I had to remove the insert but that didn't effect its functionality. I have only had it collapse on me once when I jerked the motor. It is definitely designed for a smoother use and no jerky movements or the handle will collapse. You could probably affix a clip on the shaft or even glue the shaft if you wanted to lock it in place.

kinda cheap....twist lock seems to let go easily when shifting between forward and reverse unless you twist the bejesus out of it. extension is nice though. will fit an endura max but you will have to remove the inner rubber sleeve. Definitely wait for it to go on sale.....unlike me.

...and on the install, a bit of dilute dish soap helped it slide over the outboard's tiller grip...
