Rycote041119 General Purpose Shock Mount for Portable Recorder, Black

I now get perfect recordings, worth every penny, I have a zoom H5, but it's so sensitive I was getting handling sounds, no matter how gentle I was, this solved that issue completely... I did debate whether to go for the next one up, which obviously has sturdier support and is compatible with the Zoom H6 (NB, the H6 weights quite a bit more), but if the suspension support is too rigid you negate it's usefulness and I assume start getting handling noise. For the H5 this is perfect, if you have a H6, get the next one up

I use this with my Zoom H5 for £50 it's NOT worth it. On a tripod i can touch the bottom of the tripod leg and still hear it on my recording with the device set at 7 on the dail. If this was £20 i could write it off as a bad buy but now i have a bad taste for rycote products.

When I say "Features" I mean mounting options :) The mounting arch is also very rigid, but does remove most handling noises, it's just not as good as a real shotgun mic mount with rubber bands. Still if you want something that will securely hold your device, offer handling noise reduction while still giving you positional mounting options this is pretty much your only choice.
