Good sound quality and features
I am pleased with the razer kaira wireless headset. Pairing to the xbox series x was easy. I havent had connection problems. It has good features, like a volume wheel and a chat mixer wheel. It is convenient and relatively easy to use. Also, a "mute" switch, all accesible on the headphones outer cups themselves. I have used the razer audio xbox app. Turned the rgb lighting off so I get better battery life, which is not bad...around 20 hours per charge and it charges via Usb-c (cable included) With the app, I have played around with both the headphone sound EQ and microphone EQ without issues. The mic is very sensitive. So hot mic alert. I turned the volume normalization OFF. With it on, the sensitive mic was picking up the cricket ambient noise in my home and amplifying it. So I turned it OFF and havent had issues since. The sound is pretty sweet. I use the FPS setting. I have the headphone output on the XSX set to windows sonic which this headset is compatible with. A lot of features for the price, good build, all around good sound. The xbox app is easy to use and optional. I havent tried to pair it to my laptop with bluetooth yet. But I believe it will be easy to pair as it has a dedicated bluetooth pairing button. I've only used it for a month, but so far so good. If anything changes, I will update this review.

Incredible Headset!!
This headset is excellent! I've had this headset for about 2 years now, and it has not disappointed! The connection has been slightly spotty sometimes, but nothing so major that it would be rendered even remotely unusable and if anything has more to do with the Xbox I believe as many of these kinds of headsets have problems in that department. I will say, I had to purchase a new mic attachment for it (which costed a whopping $8.00) as the original did eventually go kaput, but $8 is minimal, and everything else about this headset already makes up for that issue in my opinion. The sound is very clear, and with EQ in the Razer app on Xbox, I can really fine tune it. that is coming by a trained and longtime audio engineer as well who appreciates good sounding speakers. I was going to give it 4 stars, but with how well they've held up, especially with pretty rough hands, I can't shout loud enough how much this is worth despite its small small drawbacks, which could of course be case-to-case which is most probable as I am not gentle with my headset. At the moment this headset is sub-$75.. this is a STEAL!!

Great Mid-Level Headset that will last you 2-4 Years
This is one of the better gaming headsets I've owned, but it still has its flaws. I owned this for about 4 yers before finally needing to replace, so here's what I experienced during those 4yrs. Pros: Great sound quality, lightweight and not painful to wear for long periods, mic monitoring works really well, bluetooth connection directly to Xbox so I didn't need a usb dongle. Cons: Almost immediately, I had issues with random crackling - it never lasted long or caused significant problems. About 2 years in, the headset started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting to the Xbox - but it didn't happen very often. At year 4, I started experiencing significant disconnecting and reconnecting that also would cause my Xbox to lag just enough to impact my gaming. Tried repairing, hard resetting the Xbox, and resetting the headset but continued to have the same problem. Time to replace.

Quality for the price (Under $90)
I've owned a lot of headsets over the past decade. Here's my initial review after using it for the past month. Like: 1. Easy setup 2. Quality surround sound. I'm using it with Dolby Atmos. 3. Nice Xbox app allows for appropriate level of customization. 4. Mic monitoring works really well. 5. You can remove the mic boom if you don't need it. 6. Very comfortable for hours of gaming. I have large ears and a larger head. Don't like: 1. You need to update the firmware via a computer. App only lets you know if your firmware is up to date. 2. Chat/Game balance wheel doesn't make a sound or click to let you know when it's balanced. You need to count the number of click turns and balance manually. Hopefully the build quality give me 3+ years of gaming but only time will tell. My last headset (Microsoft Wireless) mic plastic casing cracked and broke on its own. Definitely brittle cheap plastic was used as I take good care of my accessories.

Worst wireless headset
Please read this if you’re on the fence about this headset. It claims it is built for Xbox. With ‘True’ Bluetooth. The connectivity is unbearable. Truly awful. At first, it sounds awful until you download the buggy xbox app to tweak the settings. After that, the biggest issue is crackling noises every minute or so. Apparently this is a known issue for this headset. It crackles constantly like it is losing connection. I called Razer support and they refused to admit it was a known issue. They offered for a replacement if I either 1. Payed for another headset in advance or 2. Go 3 weeks without a headset until they can determine if it is a manufacturing defect. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had Amazon send me a replacement. SAME ISSUE. This new headset sounds like garbage. I forgot to mention, half of the time, the mute button does not work. Found that out the hard way when I’m having a personal conversation with my girlfriend and even though my headset is clearly set to muted, everyone in my party can hear what I’m saying. This headset looks cool, it feels durable, it is comfortable, but for actual usefulness, it is worse than any headset I have ever owned. I even turned off EVERY wifi/Bluetooth device in my house to verify there wasn’t any interference. Still, it could not stay connected. Whether I was in front of the tv or In the next room, both of the headsets don’t like Xbox’s. Check every Reddit forum about these. I wish I read them sooner. Like I said at the beginning, if you’re on the fence about this, do not buy it. For $140, you can get something way better.

be careful of limitations if using for bluetooth
This review is for the Razer Kaira Pro. (The Pro version has bluetooth, whereas the regular does not.) I am not an audiophile, and I don't make bluetooth phone calls, so I cannot comment on those aspects. However, I do find these headphones quite good regardless. I made sure to update the firmware before using it. It is a real game changer upgrading to a wireless headset. No need to worry about the headphone cable sticking out of the controller anymore. I play about 1-2 hours each day and just charge it once a week. By the end of the week the battery is around 60%. (battery level will be less as the battery ages) If you pair with bluetooth, it will report the battery level to your phone. The bluetooth feature is very handy for listening to music. It is especially useful casual games where there is no soundtrack or you don't like the soundtrack. For example, I use the bluetooth feature to listen to music while playing Dirt 5 (a racing game). I can adjust the volume levels from the phone and the headset, so that I can get the optimal ratio between music volume level and xbox volume level. There is a small dial under the left of the headset to adjust volume, and another dial under the right side to adjust the chat mix. The chat mix dial is used to control the ratio between xbox game volume and xbox party chat volume. However, I don't use xbox party chat much, so I use the chat mix dial to more finely tune the xbox game volume level. I had no complaints about my voice quality over xbox party chat. The microphone is detachable and has quite a hefty piece of foam attached to it. If you don't like the colors on the sides (and maybe want to save some battery life), there is a headset setup app you can download on the xbox to turn off the lights and play with the equalization settings. I only used it to turn off the lights as I don't like them. Some of the quirks: - Turning the headset on will turn on the xbox, and there is no way to avoid this unless you unplug the power from your xbox. Don't unplug your xbox if it is an instant on mode. If it's in instant on mode, you need to do a full shutdown from the settings/power options menu. - The headset will automatically turn off if you turn off your xbox - The USB-C charging port is a bit recessed, so not all USB-C cables will fit inside it. The headset box includes a braided USB-C cable. The USB-C cable and charger that came with my Pixel 3 phone work though. I am usually not a big fan of Razer as I think their products don't last long, but here's to hoping that Razer has improved since I last purchased anything from them.

This headset is...meh
My thoughts after about 30 hours of testing: Pros: Easy to pair, easy to connect Bluetooth and XWP work simultaneously, great for listening to music or a podcast while gaming Earcups don't get hot Volume and chat mixer controls on headset Xbox app for customizing is very nice Cons: Clamping force. They are much too tight on my head (I have a slightly larger than average noggin, but rarely have an issue with hats or headphones) Sound quality is mediocre. I have read so many reviews about how great the audio quality is, but honestly my cheap Turtle Beach X12s from 2011 sound better. Mic is overly sensitive. In game chat on COD it stays open all the time and creates a static noise for the others in my party. On party chat and discord it does better, but it still picks up breathing and button presses worse than anything I've ever used. It even picked up my wife sneezing downstairs! It also picks up my game sounds through the earcups. There is no reason for a headset mic to be this sensitive. Probably due to the sensitive mic, but anytime you touch the headset, it creates a loud thunking noise for the others in the party. The volume, chat mixer, and mute functions are all on the headset, so everytime you change your volume or mute your mic, it creates a thunk on the other end. Mic does not stay in place. Every time you turn the headset on, it turns the xbox on. If you want to use the bluetooth function by itself, you have to unplug the xbox or walk as far away from it as possible before turning them on. This turned out to be really annoying. I really wanted to like this headset. It ticks all the boxes for the features that I wanted in a headset, but in the end, I returned it. The middling sound quality coupled with that god-awful mic made it not worth keeping, even at such a good price. I ended up buying the Turtle Beach Earforce audio adapter instead. It plugs into the controller and adds volume, chat mixer, and mute buttons, and lets me use any pair of headphones I want. If you don't absolutely have to have wireless, this is the best option I have found to get great sound quality AND audio controls.

Most comfortable headset I have ever tried
If comfort is your main concern then look no further. I have tried multiple headsets from Turtle Beach, Steelseries, Sony gaming headsets and this beats them all easily. Lightweight, large and plush ear cups, long adjustment forks. Usually I have to wear a headset at max and this one I have to put a few clicks in. Unfortunately the sound is a small step down from other headsets I have tried, but using the Razer app and making some EQ adjustments gets it very good. I know a lot of people don’t like the direct connection to Xbox but in this headsets case it works perfect and never loses connection. Crackling audio does creep up from time to time but it only lasts a few seconds. Mic is fine, again not the worst but not the best either. Great headset especially at the $99 price point it’s been at a lot lately.

Super comfortable.
Painless association to an Xbox. If you're buying it just for the Xbox, do yourself a favor and buy the other version without the Bluetooth functionality. I couldn't find a way to use the Bluetooth without also powering on the Xbox when powering on the headset. My original intent was to use the Bluetooth for my TV, for when only my TV was going to be used.

Great
It has been a pretty good headset. It automatically connects to the Xbox when you turn it on. It has pretty good sounds quality. It is really easy to control the sound levels and the app you can download on the Xbox from the Microsoft store it awesome. The battery life is great and it comes with a quality cable. I have no complaints at all. It is fairly comfortable, although it may not be as comphotable as my JBL quantum one headset it is muck lighter. The headset itself seems to be build relatively well when compared to other headsets I have bought in the past. I have not tried out the mic yet because I don't use one very often but I love how easily to can just take it off.
