I have owned several 5 and 6 stage RO systems for years. Our water is high in iron so I change all filters and membranes more often than recommended. The one complaint I've always had is that the water pressure from the sink faucet is to slow/soft. So I decided some time to go higher on the membrane GPM from the standard 50 to 125, but it made no difference in pressure or water yield. I've added permeate pumps, boosters, different flow restrictors, and increased the pressure in the tank, but still no better pressure--that is, until I used this member in combination with a new inline filter. The water pressure is at least 3x better!. A pot for pasta fills in a quarter the time with water to spare. I will only buy these membranes in combination with the inline filters and from now on, no matter what the manuf. recommends about the longer life of the membrane, both will always be changed when the inline is ready to go. And when you buy them put them right in and don't let them sit. If they dry out they won't recover.
