Simply the best ear plugs I've used...
I protect my hearing because I know that once it's gone I can't get it back. These are intended for hearing protection, not creating a zone of silence, so the person who bought these for student use (and gave them a 3-star rating) probably expected something from them that they simply aren't designed to do. These excel at what they are designed to do. They require no pre-compression prior to insertion into the ear (so they're quick to insert), provide very good protection on their own, are comfortable enough to wear all day, and have a lanyard that'll allow you to let them hang about your neck when removed should you desire to do so. Personally, I give a quick tug and tear the lanyard off, as I don't like that -- which is another selling point for me, in that the lanyard is there for those who want it and also very easily removed for those who do not. I use these when: * mowing * trimming * shooting * working heavily with air tools such as impact wrenches, air hammers, and the like The box is wall-mountable and has instructions that'll help you properly place the screws on the wall should you wish to do so. I did this, and when I reorder these, I'll be putting the new box in the same place as the old one ... which is nice as I don't need to depend on the old box holding up for years; the entire solution is disposable.

These with Frieq earmuffs are the cloest to being soundproof that I've found
I doubt if anyone appreciates silence more than I do. I read. I watch good cinema. (And I walk about 5 miles a day.) And I want a QUIET living space. I've tried a good number of earmuffs and earplugs. These are without a doubt the very best earplugs I have experienced. The best earmuffs I've experiences are these: FRiEQ 37 dB NRR Sound Technology Safety Ear Muffs with LRPu Foam for Shooting, Music & Yard Work, Green FRiEQ The two are easily used simultaneously. And that is the closest I have come to attaining truly soundproof head gear. Of course it's not truly soundproof. Nothing is. But this combination is the best I have found. Two qualifications: (1) Be sure to follow the instructions for insertion of the earplugs. (2) The Frieq earmuffs are certainly tight. I have become accustomed to the pain, but I certainly would not assume that everyone else can do so. (I am 6 feet 2 inches tall with a relatively narrow head.)

Great Plug
The Push-in 3M Ear Plugs with cord are great to use when your hands and finger are dirty because you don't need to roll the foam into a smaller diameter before inserting them into your ear. I find that they are faster to use in comparison to simpler cylindrical foam ear plugs. In addition, the cord is also a convenient feature to use when you are on a job that requires putting them in and out. One slight drawback is that they are generally rated at a lower dB reduction to many cylindrical foam ear plugs.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE EARPLUGS! ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE EARPLUGS! ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ I am a side sleeper and these earplugs are a savior. I sleep in a VERY very noisy household, and these earplugs have dampened the surrounding noise (such as snoring or loud TV noise in the hallway) enough to get me to sleep. They are not like 100% soundproof or anything but they get the job done!๐ฅฐ I have been on the lookout for *side sleeping earplugs* for sleeping for LITERALLY my whole life and struggled to find anything that compares. I have odd shaped ears due to having braces and my jaw line moving. So these are literally a life saver. And normal foam ear plugs always expand and fall out even though I pinch, twist push and leave those other types in, those other ones fall out. Not the case here fortunately! Because of their already pinched design. ๐ They are a tad to big for my little ears, so what I did to fix this problem is cut the earplugs on the sides (see photo) to make them smaller and more workable. And since I sleep on my side I had to cut the "stem" in half so it wasn't poking my pillow and moving around. And now that I did those two things I am so happy and I hope they dont go out of business or I will be devastated. ๐ญ๐ I would one-thousand percent recommend these earplugs to picky earplug users. HAPPY SLEEPING!!!๐ฅฐ
