Very good connection
The previous users all made this so difficult and maybe they have changed what they supply with the install disk, but my mini disk came with the Ralink driver on it and it installed very easily and works incredibly well. We have the best connection on that PC that we've ever had. I had previously downloaded the Ralink driver(s) as suggested in previous reviews and the PC wouldn't recognize that the wireless card had ever been installed. When I finally gave in and tried the mini disk, it installed it immediately with no issues at all.

Works Great If You Can Set It Up
OK,Today I received this card from Amazon and pushed it into an old PC I have converted into a Linux (Centos 6.5) box.The good news is it works great and it was easy to setup ONCE you knew the right steps.Hardware installation was easy. Open the case, push the card into a PCI slot. Close the case. Screw on the two antennas, done. The software side is where things get confusing. It comes with a mini CD/DVD that has a setup program and other code. There is a setup.exe program you run and if ...you are on a Windows box.. this probably works, BUT the setup.exe program will NOT run under Linux. There are some folders on the CD and one of those is for Linux and probably contains the drivers you might need to install. In the case of Centos 6.5 you don't need them or the disk. Centos 6.5 will see the card fine, there are just some commands you need to type in to setup things up.The link that clued me on this was:[...]I will summarize the steps below to try and make it easy:1 - Install the card in the computer.2 - Boot the computer.3 - Select Applications->System Tools->Terminal from the menu bar to open a terminal window.4 - In the terminal window, type in the command "su - root" (no double quotes) to login as root.5 - Enter the root password and press the Enter key.6 - In the terminal window, type the following commands: chkconfig NetworkManager on service NetworkManager start chkconfig network off chkconfig wpa_supplicant off7 - Now reboot the box.8 - When the box comes back up, login and look for a network icon in the top right.9 - Right click on this icon and select Wireless from the pull down menu.If everything worked right, you will see your new wireless adapter and can pick a wireless network to join. For more details on the commands, check the link I included above.I hope this helps.

So far so good
I originally bought this wireless NIC last summer. It worked quite well on my Linux box until it failed causing my box to reboot. Amazon was awesome in their support of this product going above and beyond, replacing it. The second one is performing just as good as the first one. Despite the failure, I would buy this product again.

Unusable until you download the correct drivers
This is a great cheap 802.11n card, but it only works with the most recent drivers, which are NOT included on the CD or on Sabrent's website. For Windows users, this means that you MUST go to the website for Ralink (the manufacturer of the chipset) and download the drivers for the RT2860. Without those, the card will have very low signal strength, stop working after standby, etc...

Why is it so difficult to find a good, reliable Wireless N adapter???
Bought this after good reviews here and some other places. Installed in PCI slot, startet PC and run Software. Slow, slow bad receiving the signal from my (D-Link 615) router. Looked online for a better, newer driver or software thru Windows 7 but did not help. This is now my 7th adapter (D-Link, Trendnet, Linksys, Buffalo ....) and after sending this one back I'll found one that works. It is from Hawkings HWUN3-N-Usb adapter is for now the one that provides speed and no signal drops. I paid more (47$) but for piece of mind worth it.I'm not saying that the Sabrent might not work for you but it did not for me....

Difficult Installation
Installing the hardware was easy enough since it just plugs into the PCI slot. Installing the software was a different story. Unless you have prior experience at doing this I would avoid this product. The installation process did not work and my system would not recognize the card. Severeal other trys were also unsuccessful. There is no tech support for this product. No number to call. There is a manual on the disc, but it is only helpful if you speak Mandrin, Taiwanese, or other Asian language. No English instructions other than the quick start guide which did not match what I was seeing on the screen. I knew there might be a problem when I noticed some of the online instructions were in broken English. Eventually I was successful in getting the system to work and it seems to work fine, but I would not buy this product again based on the install.

Works fine (had to run in compatibility mode)
I am running Windows 8.1 and after being dissatisfied with a USB wireless N device I had bought I decided to bite the bullet and order a PCI card. Found this one for a reasonable price that did what I wanted. It is even rated for linux. The one problem I ran into (that cost me all of about 30 seconds) was that it would not install as is. I had to go into the files on the disc and find the raw setup file and run it in compatibility mode. Once I did that, my system recognized the card without issue. Overall I am a happy customer.

It was easy to install
It was easy to install, the price was very reasonable, and delivery was timely; it actually arrived a day earlier than I anticipated. I had no issues whatsoever with the drivers. It is never a good idea to use the pre-packaged drivers that come on the CD, anyway, as they are never up-to-date. Windows 7 easily found the latest drivers for me, and the card works as expected.
