While it definitely had a very unpleasant smell and should be opened outside, the oyster was still in good shape and came vacuum sealed so the smell didn't leach out of the package while in the house. The pearls were varied in size and color but most had good lustre and some were a very pretty rosy lilac color in between pink and purple.

Terrible purchase and not worth the money. Pearls are ugly, small, and pretty much unusable trash. The picture shows what 2 oysters gives you.

Stinky, but that is part of the fun. I read people complaining about it. What do you expect? I kept the shells and made art projects with them.

I enjoy this, obviously, it's not going to be the most highest quality Pearls or the best shaped pearls. But this was very rewarding and something. Now I can pass down to my kids or make into jewelry. The smell wasn't strong but do it out side and wear gloves. I used a regular steak knife scored the inside and opened it.

One oyster was so disintegrated and rotten that there was literally not an oyster inside; just stinky brown soupy sludge. There were 22 all-white pearls inside it, though cloudy, not shiny - they kind of look like dehydrated marshmallow bits. 3 pearls were stuck to the oyster shell and we never could get them out.The whole bag was quite stinky when it arrived, despite the oysters being individually sealed.The other 3 oysters were not disintegrated. They included pearls in the quantities of 27, 28 and 30 pearls each. Two oysters produced beautiful pearls that included pink, peach, cream and two soft lavender colors. The last one had pearls that were all-white, cloudy and not pretty.

The shell was huge but when I finally opened up the shell there were 10 very small pearls. 14 if you count the 4 unusable blister pearls attached to the inside of the shell. The grey pearl was very pretty but would I buy again? Probably not.

Not all of the pearls are full of luster but some are and they're beautiful! I got a bunch of weird shapes and sizes too. Most were cream or off-white.

Awful Purchase !Oyster had some type of chemical on it that burned my skin and eyes .. pearls inside are unusable ,Ugly and badly shaped !Do not recommend this purchase!
