It's simple: this torch is more-or-less useless other than for a cigar lighter or to torch some individual portions of crème brûlée.Forget about torching a steak (assuming a reverse sear/sous vide)--it would take 20 minutes per steak (10 minutes per side + giving the edges for free--it actually would be good for JUST that, the edges, if you weren't pan frying the steaks in oil, i.e. on a grill).You need to think in terms of seconds with this--because that's what it will give you: seconds of a very tiny area of extreme heat. If you need more than about a kiss, this won't provide it.

Very easy to use

The media could not be loaded. one of the best performing torches i've used yet. this torch lights up every single time i sparked it, even outside in the wind, or a fan blowing on it. the striker lock is well-placed and easy to use, and the handle is very comfortable.

Never had a strong flame but after two refills it will not light any more.
