Good camera that looks good. Video quality is great.

I am a driving instructor and would recomend a camera for your car, this product is very similar to the cheap cams you get from your petrol station, similar OS and the way they work, but this has a rear cam too unlike them.if you have a lighter plug that turns off when the car is switched off then the cam goes off , and comes on with ignition, the parking sensor won't work without constant power, so hard wired is needed.the rear cam is vbery low quality, but good if you just need to prove the person behind went into you, it was easy to install, and has worked quite well so far for the 5 days i've had it, though i switched out the 32gb card for a better one, i have tried an ape man that had a rear cam and it lasted a week, i got it replaced, but that also didn't last long, these cheaper ones seem to last longer. the only thing i have a grumble about is the low quality pixelation of the rear image, and it's reversed when recorded.but it is good for the price, the front and rear recordings are in seperate folders, and there's plenty in the menu to set it up. i needed loop recording , so it records over stuff thats a week old that's no longer needed. good value.

it works well

I bought this dash cam two years ago 2021. It so far has been excellent with great picture clarity' Before this dashcam I had three very popular make (Nextbase)of dashcams which didn't last very long before they just stopped working. They lasted maybe a couple of years each and were very expensive. This dashcam was not expensive and I did not expect it to last long, but two years later it hasn't skipped a beat. Much better than the expensive ones I bought at a very well known car and cycle shop(Halfords) When complaining to both Nextbase and Halfords they didn't want to know. I can honestly say that this Dashcam is great and well worth buying.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas but had to wait until the weather warmed up a bit before installing. I’m not a fan of the suction-type mountings but this one worked really well and so far hasn’t moved a bit. The kit came complete with a micro sd card (plus an adaptor usb for ease of transfer). Having a complete kit like this is really handy as it saves you having to cast around to find a suitable one. All in all the installation went fine, again this kit came with a reversing camera which fitted nicely in the back window. The screen-in-screen is a nice touch, but as my wife’s car is relatively small its not a great necessity. The camera is of a good resolution and the images are very clear. I’d highly recommend this kit – a nice compact unit at a reasonable price.An update on my previous review and having the system in and working for a couple of weeks now - its great - cannot fault it, have been in touch with the suppliers as well and have to say a pleasure to deal with them - highly recommended.

Needed a decent and reasonably priced dash cam set and this is brilliant! Also comes with sd car. Easy to install.

It's kind of OK but despise suction cup mounts. Dropped a star as unable to purchase a separate adhesive mount, despite looking and purchasing a bunch of options. Most other brand of dash cam has an 'aftermarket' option. My own fault! Lesson learnt.

For the money I'm happy with it. You get what you pay for. The images are clear enough that if someone hit you they pretty much would be bang to rights, also would be evidence for the police if you happened to capture a crime. But...it's yet another budget camera that claims to be 1080p full HD when it clearly isn't. Playing footage back on my 23" screen it's really more like 720p or even 640p. Blocky and pixelated. 1080p doesn't do that. I was disappointed that you can't make out someone's number plate even just a few feet in front of your car if they or you are moving at all, all it takes is 5mph and the number plate is blurry and unreadable even on pause. The third party would have to be stationary and upclose to read it. Having said that, for £40 I can't grumble too much. I'd imagine to get true 1080HD you would have to buy one of the top end ones.

Good for the price. Camera quality isn't amazing but it'll pick up all the important stuff very well. Definitely pretty easy to set up and worked well from the startWhat I'm impressed with is how it stays on even when my car is off (my cars cig lighter power things DO NOT stay on after the car is off) due to the internal battery. My last dashcam was more expensive than this one but it didn't do this. I don't know how long the internal battery lasts but it definitely has a few hours life in it for sure.

Ich wollte eine möglichst günstige Cam, die ohne Probleme funktioniert. Diese hier gabs mit Rabattcode für nen schlanken Fuffi und ich bin positiv überrascht, hat alle Funktionen (ok GPS wäre vlt. noch gut gewesen), die man braucht, Speicherkarte (32GB) ist auch enthalten und funktioniert die ersten Fahrten hervorragend. Bedienung ist auch gut. Vom Bild sollte man keine Wunder erwarten, aber ist für den Preis recht ordentlich und man sieht alles was wichtig ist, auch Nachts noch in Ordnung. Einziger Wehmutstropfen: ich habe vorne keinen Zigarettenanzünder mehr, per USB kabel (nicht beiliegend) geht (zumindest bei mir!) nur die Hauptkamera, der Output ist wohl zu schwach für die Rückfahrkamera. Per beiliegendem Adapter am Zigarettenanzünder (hab ich nur hinten) geht es problemlos. Aufgenommene Videos kann man direkt auf der Cam anschauen, Speicherkarte per Adapter auslesen oder die Cam schnell an den PC hängen, geht alles gut. Anleitung ist in Deutsch und trotz sprachlicher Mängel leicht verständlich. Ist in 5 Min eingerichtet. Ab dann set and forget, so sollte es sein.Klar gibts bessere Cams, Auflösung, Wifi, GPS, aber die kosten ja auch ein Vielfaches.Alles in allem für den Preis 5 Sterne!Noch einen Tipp für den Anschluss über USB:Ich habe nur noch USB C-Anschlüsse vorne, beiliegend war ein Zigarettenanzünder (Output 5V; 1,5A), hab zum Glück hier einige Kabel rumfliegen, ein USB-C auf USB-Mini hat NICHT funktioniert (warum auch immer), dachte schon, die Cam sei kaputt. Eine Stecklösung "USB-C auf USB-A (3.0) Buchse" Adapter und daran ein "USB-Mini auf USB-A Stecker" funktioniert. Das muss man wissen und die entsprechenden Kabel kaufen, falls man sie nicht rumfliegen hat.

I tried at 1080 resolution only, the video has grains even at daylight, cannot see the license plate of the car in front unless it is within about 15 feet. But of course we can see the whole scene. What can you ask for when this car cam is only $50 ?Good for the price and general use. If you demand better picture quality, you should buy one which is more expensive.
