Excellent item. Protects my iPad very well. It's a little hard to figure it out how to put on but once you do figure it out, then it seems easy.

This is definitely durable! I had a little hard time getting it off! Lol. But worth it. Looks nice without adding a lot of extra weight!

It gives the security that you will be looking for. This was bought for an individual with an intellectual disability. She drops and throws things. This cover has withstood some abuse. The tablet is totally intact and working beautifully. It’s easy to grip, scratch resistant and the perfect color. We needed black.

This is the 2nd of this exact case I've purchased and they are SO worth it! I had bought this case initially several years ago for my son's ipad and that thing looked like it had been through a war when he was done with it,but it 100% protected the device. Its been dropped, thrown,stepped on,things spilled on it,etc and this case protected the device from all of it! It wasnt even an option what case to get when we purchased him a new iPad! This is the immediate answer for a case for any of my kids devices. They are a bit pricey upfront compared to some other cases,but the protection they give devices,especially for kids or accident prone people, is unmatched!

This product does not indicate that it is refurbished. The product I received is clearly marked as refurbished. I would have preferred to have bought a brand new product. That said, the refurbished product I received seemed "like new". Nothing seemed wrong with it at all and it was in new packaging. The Otterbox Defender case itself is a stand out product. I can't imagine a more durable or protective case for the iPad. The front and back are equally protected by rigid plastic. The front "shield" snaps firmly in place. When you remove the front part to use the iPad, this front part is a really good stand! It lets you position in the iPad in at least 4 ways; perhaps 5 depending on how you count. I find this "shield stand" to be incredibly useful. Much more so than you might think. This case is so strong that I have no problem throwing the iPad and case into a backpack, luggage, etc. I'm confident the iPad won't be damaged. I don't think I would check this in airline luggage. I'm not sure that's allowed anyway because of the battery. But still, it's a very durable and strong case. Highly recommended. (Minus one star overall because it was a refurbished product that did not indicate that in the listing.)

This case is excellent, specially if you have kids or heavy duty use is involved. The plastic used is pretty rugged and takes on any falls like nothing ever happened. At first it was a bit difficult to install but it is understandable due to the toughness of the material and the size of the device. Overall, pretty good.

You never have to worry about your IPad with this product it’s fool proof

Bought a new one for my son because his old was worn out after 2.5y. Only upon swapping the Otterboxes, I noticed how much damage the old Otterbox had caused to the casing and even glass of the iPad. The inside of the Otterbox has sharp edges and glue to keep the Otterbox's clear plastic cover in place. After a while this will cause a large amount scratches and spots on your iPad !

I first started using Otter Box on my phone around 2010 (approx). I worked as an outdoor instructor and constantly dropped my phone in the woods and down rocks. The case always protected my phone and I never had any damaged whilst using the case. Back then the case was somewhat chunky and made an iPhone about 20mm think. As time when on my need for a waterproof case increase, whilst spending more time teaching kids to canoe and kayak. I moved to life proof cases which met my drop and waterproof requirements. In more recent times Otter Box and Lifeproof joined forces and this case is a good combination of both products. This case is the same style case as the original Otter Box being a snap together case surround the iPad with a rubber shock protector that goes around the whole back and sides and protrudes beyond the screen to protect it. It has a lifeproof feel (although not waterproof) to the case and the slim and finesse elements make this case in my opinion a fantastic option. With the additional front cover which doubles as a stand for the iPad I can say I’m supper happy and the case is worth every penny, especially this version which is cheaper due to having eco packing. People often say to my that these cases cost to much but when you consider you just spend a minimum of £330 it’s totally worth it for a case that’s going to protect your products. My two year old drop the iPad today from a chair onto a tile floor it wasn’t a problem for the case whatsoever. I’ve always found their customer service great to and if a case has degraded before a year I’ve received a replacement.
