White Christmas

I've always loved the big movie musicals and this one is the Top of the List !!I watched earlier this week on YouTube a couple talking about this New U.H.D. version of this film and how they made it look and sound better than I even saw New releases !! The Digital copy is only for Apple and Fandango at Home applications but I already have Fandango and vudu and it was a little bit of trip to get Fandango at Home on Xfinity my Cable service .My equipment : Xifinty Cable /dvr set up , A couple years old 43" 4k Westinghouse Roku T.V. with a Sound optical hooked up Sound Bar . Results pure video and audio Bliss .

This is by far the best Clarity and Definition of this movie I have ever seen. I have had this movie on Video Tape, LaserDisc, DVD, Blu Ray and now 4K and as I mentioned this is definitely the best version including the 4k Digital Copy. For me it was worth the price to enjoy a very family friendly and happy movie anytime of the year.

This is a spectacular upgrade in both picture and sound. Vera Ellen is the most magnificent dancer. Crosby and Kaye are terrific together, and this is a must own 4K upgrade.Highly recommended!!!

GREAT MOVIE FOR WINTER WATCHING AND HOLIDAYS

This is a Christmas classic musical with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. The introduction of the classic song, White Christmas sung by Crosby.

There are a handful of movies in my collection that I pay to update when they become available in a newer or better format and White Christmas is one of those. Last year I upgraded to a blu ray player and 51' plasma TV and discovered that the DVD version that I owned was much grainier than I had remembered on my old analog TV. I made a few inquiries on a video collector's board and they told me that the Diamond Anniversary Edition blu ray/dvd combination would be a significant upgrade for me. Amazon had it at a great price so I gave it a try and, holy cow, were the folks on the collectors board right!!!!! The colors and clarity are just incredible. I saw things that I'd never noticed before, such as the small sparkling rhinestones in the blue fans in the "Sisters" number (I've even seen one of those fans in a museum and hadn't noticed the sparkles!), the detailing on Rosemary Clooney's earrings in the "Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me" scene, the depth of color in the layers of Rosemary and Vera's dresses (the dress that Vera wore in "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing") and a thousand other small details. The sharpness of this copy is just wonderful.This edition comes with a blu ray, a DVD and a CD of songs from the movie. The CD isn't a soundtrack (as we all know, there IS no official White Christmas soundtrack but, I'll stay focused and not go off on a rant about that) but is Bing, Danny and Rosemary singing their own versions of some of the songs, with Michael Buble thrown in. Some people don't see the need to have a release that has both a DVD AND Blu Ray but, personally, I like it. I tend to visit a lot over the holidays and always take some of my favorite movies with me and not everyone has a blu ray player.So, to sum it up, if you are a die hard White Christmas fan, THIS is the version for you!!!

I really like this movie. Clean fun movie.

Growing up most of us have seen White Christmas numerous times. For my age group many saw it on maybe 19 inch to 26 inch tube t.v.s as kids into adulthood.For myself my real appreciation for this movie has come in recent years by seeing it on large screen t.v.s through cable. But to see it on Blu Ray only makes it much more enjoyable.White Christmas is an iconic movie for the Holidays. The cinematography, the acting, musical scores and incredible dancing is superlative. The mood of the era 1954 makes one long to live that era. To be apart of the story.This movie has become along with It's a Wonderfull Life my two favorite Christmas movies.If you want an exquisite copy of one of the most colorful, eye-catching Christmas movies, then pick up this Blu Ray.

The DVD was in great condition and it was very clear on our HD tv.It actually took only 2 days to get it.
