Vinyl LP repressing of the classic 1983 hardcore scuzz rock debut from Berkeley, CA's Fang includes digital download. LANDSHARK is a unique mix of erratic thrashers and slow Sabbath-oid noise riffs. It's best-known tune is without a doubt the rumbling and stumbling opening track 'The Money Will Roll Right In,' which has been covered by Nirvana, Metallica, Mudhoney, the Butthole Surfers and god knows who else. The record also includes cheerful odes to the disabled ('Destroy the Handicapped'), the follicle-y challenged ('Skinheads Smoke Dope'), and assorted werewolves, delinquents and drug users. This reissue is remastered and back in print on vinyl for the first time in 20 years, with additional vintage artwork inside. The digital download included with the disc also features their entire WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE release, plus more.

Two great albums in one
Great bay area punk, good production. The fact that you get in my opinion the two best albums of this band is a great deal. The album is a mix of thrash and mid tempo punk. The" money will roll right in" and "destroy the handicapped" which is obviously satire.

Classic Punk
What more to say? Fang is old school classic punk, but not in the hard hitting fast pace of some like Black Flag etc., but a methodic drawl rife with odd, off the wall lyrics. ...."skiiiinnnnheads SMOKE DOPE....and thhhaaaaaat aint no F*5king JOKE!" That kind of lyrics. :)Awesome stuff

nice
I like Fang, and here is one of their albums. Good quality MP3's, and unlike A Mi Ga Sfafas, this album comes with all of the tracks it is supposed to come with.

Irreverent, even crazed early-mid 80's punk band
I'll just sit and grin/the money will roll right in. Sammy Town couldn't be more disappointed that his first two records (really, the only two that mattered), ended up on one CD, and that they were purchased by someone online. Although, maybe he wouldn't care either way. Regardless, Fang were the embodiment of drug-addled California punk after the explosion. Their songs were rage-inspired second-generation punk anthems, and tempered with the miasmic dirge of several influences within hardcore punk. They practically had a hit with "fun with acid" and certainly, with lead singer SammyTown's legendary 'unicorn' haircut, and crazed onstage behavior, (and untimely death) made legends of themselves before the disappointing 3rd lp. If you weren't there, this confirms some parents' worst fears. If you were there, this CD is imperative.

I'm Goin' to Hollywood...
Growing up, and even now, this is one of my alltime favorite records for reasons beyond words. The "attitude" of punk is perfected in this album. The sheer visceral noise of punk is captured perfectly. The language, both angry and playful, the authentic and refreshing bluntness of this album are perfect. I was devastated when my brother told me his LP was destroyed many moons ago and we wandered through life without fang afterwards, so I'm pleased this is available again. When it comes to punk, this album is perfect. In my mind it ranks with Social Distortion's Mommy's Little Monster as one of the all-time greatest works of punk ever made.Despite what might have happened to the respective bands on down the road...5 stars really isn't enough to satisfy my all around warm and fuzzy over hearing this again.

Oi OI Oi!
The opening track "The Money Will Roll Right In" is a surefire Punk classic but the rest of the tracks are average at best in my opinion. Not raging fast by Hardcore standards some of the latter tracks sound like really bad OI! covers. Not i dont like OI! music far from it but it seems a bit outta place??
