A wonderful book with plenty to enjoy
This edition (Reprinted as of Oct 2020) is as current with updated notes and photos as you can get.I got the paperback copy and balked a little at the $50 price tag, but think about all the work and effort that went into researching the material and presenting it in such an appealing volume. I'm a huge fan of the U.P.A. era and there are only so many books out there so I grabbed it up.It's 178 pages of animation production sketches, stories, notes and development art for a classic piece of American cartoon history. There's a lot to enjoy with this book and fans of animation will surely appreciate this one.I highly recommend this book.

Enjoyable Movie Book
The book helps fans of Mr. Magoo relive memories of the great cartoon character, voiced by the remarkable Jim Backus. The movie was an excellent adaptation of Dickens's Christmas Carol.

Everything you could want to know about a classic.
Lots of information, many full page, color illustrations. I did drop my rating a star, due to the price. Can't argue with the care it was done, however.

Great book, bad title
A wonderful and detailed book on a beloved animated special. However, Mr. Magoo's Christmas was not the 'first animated Christmas special'. The Disney special From All of Us to All of You aired four years earlier on ABC.
