can you use this with a hand held mic? my friend has Parkinson's and headsets fall off because of rapid movement. But she can hold a mic.

I don't know because we changed it for "Voice Aid" made by unex design Ltd in Torquay. TQ2 7AT. This model has an Aux connection.
