I purchased this after moving into a new property where the garden was largely bare, and I had a considerable number of bulbs to plant. I fitted the larger of the two augers into my cordless drill and was immediately impressed by how much easier it made the job. Rather than digging individual holes by hand, I simply drilled a hole, dropped the bulb in, and covered it back over with soil. It significantly sped up the entire planting process and made what could have been a time-consuming task much more enjoyable. I’ve now had the augers for nearly two growing seasons, and another pleasant surprise has been how well they have held up. Despite regular outdoor use and being stored in a garden environment, there are still no signs of rust or significant wear. The augers feel sturdy, work exactly as intended, and save a great deal of effort when planting bulbs or small plants. Overall, an excellent gardening tool that turns a laborious job into a quick and straightforward task.

These work great! The parcel was satisfyingly heavy! I'm certain that the smaller of the two augers will get more use as it is the perfect size for an individual bulb. The larger of the two will be useful for planting smaller potted plants into hard ground. I would not recommend them to be used for fence posts or anything like that (these users were included in the description) . The construction is of sturdy steel which has been painted or powder coated black. There is a 3/8" hex shank which will fit o in virtually any drill on the market. Overall, I'm very pleased!

Wasn’t sure how it would cope with a mixture of extremely poor soil,hardcore, sharp sand & all the other bits of building rubbish they tip in around a new build house & cover with a few inches of clay/soil !! Anyway I’m completely re landscaping my daughters back garden & putting here in some fancy decking with some reclaimed oak planks. So I thought having the frame fairly complex , due to the curved design I’m doing & the concreted anchors had to be fairly close in most places I’d see if this would be better than digging & disturbing the terrain, I was presently surprised how good it was, I had to use it in conjunction with my cordless 18V ONE+™ Cordless 4-mode SDS+ Drill ( I can’t recommend enough ) loosening or pneumatically breaking concrete/stone & breeze block obstacles in its way with that, after 30 odd 18inch holes it’s a as still working fine after a pretty couple of days rigorous usage. So if your going to be using it for holes & things in a better terrain than a rubbish shrewn hellscape I had to deal with , this is very good, sturdy & a great way for quick creating even sized holes for whatever reasons! One thing you’ll need is a good pair of garden or builders ( thin material ) gloves for scooping out, I’ve bought multi packs from Amazon which are great for everything, but unfortunately by the time I’d finished this part of the project, I was down to the last new pair .I’d worn the fingertips on the others on everything else’s we’ve been doing to the house & garden over the last yr , So eventually on this last new pair I had left the clawing wore out the fingertips on the gloves & eventually started to make under my fingernails painful , so treat yourself to some of those also.

I purchased these as I need to excavate 4 3 inch diameter post holes for the corners of a small greenhouse base. Every other similar tool was more than three times the price. I took a risk, attached the bits to my 16v drill and managed to excavate all the15 inch deep holes in claggy clay gravelly soil. Hard going but very successful. The secret seems to be to drill to ever increasing depths whilst not going so deep that the drill sticks. When there were difficulties, I used the smaller dia' auger to drill a pilot hole first. All in all, a very useful tool, and no sign of it being worn out by the work done.

The WORKPRO Auger Drill Bit Set is an amazing tool. I’ve only used the 4 x 22cm auger bit, but it made light work of drilling several holes in my lawn to accommodate the ‘Mega-Sonic Mole Repellers’ I had bought. I was expecting it to struggle, as I had struggled to make a suitable hole in my lawn using a hammer and heavy duty cold chisels, but the auger bit drilled a perfect sized hole with no effort at all. Some of the other comments mentioned that it struggled with heavy clay and rocky ground, but on my lawn, it performed perfectly.

Is a ok product not amazing but is for a garden jobb is perfect, the material of the drill is a little bit not the best but for the price is good

Good service arrived on time. Product is well made. Used to drill out for 4 fence posts so holes were around 300mm square around 300 to 400mm deep. Soil was good quality without substantial stones. All 4 dug out within 2 hours. Augers are well made and show very little signs of use after. Any kickback and sticking easily handled with reversing the cordless drill. The "nearly" rating is because the larger of the two is difficult to get started in anything but very sandy soil. The small one did 90% of the work breaking up the soil for easy removal by trowel or hand. Work down in stages about half way each time but you'll soon get the feel for it. Suggest stripping any surface grass away first from work area as it can bind on the spiral blade. Wish I'd got these years ago. Recommend on value for money.

I have used them both, I am satisfied them. The thinner auger I use it to break in a hard soiled ground, and the bigger one to finish it up. For softer Soil it is sure a handy tool to dig a hole to plant your plants.

I was expecting a bit more of a struggle to use this for augering some holes for securing some posts in the ground, but this this works extremely well. As in it takes longer to attach the bit to the drill than it does actually drilling the hole. Makes the work very easy and it seems like it'll last a very long time. I don't know how versatile it is, as I've only used it for its stated purpose. But if you're looking for a fast way to drill a hole into dirt, this is the tool you want.
