This book is worth its weight in gold
Having read all of this author's publications and being therefore familiar with his lucid and very clear style, I was very eager to get my hands on this book. In this, I was not one bit disappointed. The author has a unique way of starting with very simple principles and then taking you along with him step-by-step to what seem like very obvious conclusions. Where my own health was concerned, I realized that I had been placing too much faith in the modern medical profession, and here was a simple, verifiable way to manage and be the master of my own health. He starts by simply explaining the essence of the modern medical approach and why it cannot provide a person with long-lasting and reliable results. It is marketed as being all about human progress, but in reality it only serves a commercial function. The key piece of understanding is that the modern medical profession focuses on relieving disease symptoms by suppressing them through the use of drugs, and not in ensuring that the ailment with not recur again. This is because the underlying cause of the ailment has not been understood and addressed. The author explains in detail the method of natural healing, which addresses the underlying causes of disease at the cellular level through the accumulation of toxins. This in turn is due to an imbalanced lifestyle, diet and emotions. The author provides a handy guide on how to detoxify the body by eating the right foods, as well as maintaining the proper lifestyle that allows the body to remain free of functional disorders and ailments.Since the book is very concise and intended as a self-help guide, one is drawn to read it over and over again. It instills a great sense of confidence that one can be master of one's own well-being.

Informative , Simple , holistic
Simple, short, yet holistic and very informative. I don't think I ever read any simpler explanations of how and why the body becomes sick. The author uses simple language and is very convincing. I am putting his other books on my to read list.

A real eye opener
My father was so fond of food that he used to over-eat. It did not bother him very much when he was young, but as he grew older he suffered. But instead of changing his eating habits he would take all kind of medicines to improve his digestive power. It did not work out. What is interesting is that my father’s example also applies to us – we look for our health solutions in the wrong places, in medicines! Here the author says that to have a lasting solution to our health problems, we have to overcome the causes (in our lifestyle and eating habits) and not merely suppress the symptoms of the disease with medicines. What happens when the symptoms are suppressed? Then the disease gets internalised: The functional disorders become chronic diseases and the organs begin to break down. The book is filled with so many very interesting arguments that it is really amazing. A must read, I say.
