Great shoulder protection when shooting clay
This was my second attempt at getting a recoil pad. The first one I got had straps that you wrap around your shoulder and rib cage, but because it was made to fit a man even on the smallest adjustment it slid all over the place and was just too big for me. This is a much better option and seems to work well. I have a 12 gauge and was only a little sore the day after taking 50 shots, but no bruising. I have also had 2 shoulder surgeries so I might be more sensitive than most women. My only suggestion is don't wear it with your favorite bra, the velcro does catch/fray a little in the nylon. I read someone else sewed it into a sports bra and I might try doing that too.

Shoulder Saver!
I purchased this for an annual shotgun shoot after my shoulder was severely bruised and sore the year before. WOW what a difference it made! No bruising at all and I wasn’t even sore the next day! Definitely worth the investment!!

Great pad!
Haven't used this yet but have tried it on and it appears that it will be very useful! It is a bit bulky but not bad, I wore it one day for an hour to see if it was going to bother me but if you wear it under a fitted t-shirt, it works fine! I like that it doesn't have the strap that goes around the body in order to hold it in place.

Does the job but shifts around
I gave this a 4 because it works for the recoil issue. The problem that I had is that it shifts around on the shoulder. One size fits all. It also works better with some bras than others. I found it worked a lot better with a sports bra. The velcro across the bra straps holds that part securely but the pad itself shifts around (when not shooting). Maybe it wouldn't be a problem if bra strap was tighter across shoulders. If heat is an issue, the pad makes you feel hotter (might be nice if shooting in cold weather).I tried that recoil pad plus a women's Browning shooting vest with the Reactar pad inside vest. That was too much bulk and I couldn't get it to fit right against shoulder. I then removed the bra recoil pad and just used the vest with the Reactar pad inside vest. The vest/reactar pad is what I ultimately ended up using for a shotgun class and it went great. The bra recoil pad would be good for people wanting something cheap that works for recoil. Otherwise, I'd recommend the vest plus reactar pad combo.

Comfortable
Comfortable and easy to use. This shoulder pad stayed put for a day of shooting various guns. This is my first time shooting without any pain.

TOO BIG!
I might like this more if it stayed in place and actually fit where the butt of the gun rests. I am on the small side and this recoil shield was so distracting to me I was shooting terribly. The entire time I was wearing this it was moving over my arm and riding up above my shoulder and neck. I had a difficult time lifting my arm to shoulder the gun without this thing digging into my arm. I was definitely better off without it.

excellent. The only drawback with the thickness is that ...
It does protect, but when bringing shotgun up quickly, it gets in the way and makes it hard to get it seated properly, quickly. It does protect very well and if you are not in a hurry, excellent. The only drawback with the thickness is that if you are shooting a regular length gun, it adds just that little bit more to length. I ended up not using and endured a bruise so I could bring up, aim and fire very quickly.

Really works
This is by far the best recoil pad I have used. It stays exactly where I need it and I don't get over heated by having to wear additional clothing. I live in Florida and the last thing I want when shooting is a vest or heavy clothing. This is simple to use and keeps my bra buckle from leaving a mark as well as padding my shoulder. Thank you.

Haven't used it yet, but not very hopeful
I haven't actually tried shooting with this pad on yet. I bought it to shoot my 12 gauge.. but there's 2 problems: First, I'm tiny (112 lbs, 5'2) with a small bust and this pad is HUGE compared to my shoulder/chest area. I'm not able to get it to sit comfortably on my bra. It pokes and prods my arm. It's in the way and super annoying. Second, I tried aiming with the shotgun while wearing the pad, but since it's so bulky, the butt stock doesn't sit comfortably in the curve of my shoulder anymore (as it should). Hence I'm super worried it'll slip off the pad and hit me in the arm when I shoot.Anyway.. I'm going to test it out on clay pigeons in 3 weeks. I'll edit my review after I've actually given this pad a try.
