This min-pc punches above weight class !
As an experienced user, I purchased this mini-pc to replace the family home desktop. The workhorse everyone has at home that multi-tasks as a media machine, bookkeeping, taxes, etc. Separate from employment and dedicated systems that need to be thoroughbreds based on function, i.e. data, gaming, etc.It replaces a 5urface 4, a 5y.o. workhorse machine that I cannot speak more highly about. That is until this mini-pc unit. It also needs to be backward compatible with the assorted hardware in the home office - ethernet/wi-fi, USB configurations, scanners & printer, OTA DVR streaming system, 5ONOS setup. Something that can run the household.I was comparing units seeking value in a pc with Windows Pro setup (10/11). One requiring minimal customization with a powerful processor and video with a significant ram. On the edge, but not bleeding edge. Oh, it has to be easily upgradeable, i.e., SSD. Nothing wonky or breakable. This unit delivers with Windows 11 Pro (early build dated 09/2022) UM590 AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with 32 GB RAM on the MB with a 512 GB SATA. A nice machine out of the box.As an experienced user & system builder, I look for a machine to split function. The system - operating system & applications separate from the data files, etc. It’s just more reliable. This required at minimum one additional 1TB SSD. This unit lined up the possibilities.Upon receiving the unit, unboxed it. All was intact. I sorted through the neatly packaged items (outstanding) and located the small (delicate) sata cable included. NOTE to Manufacturer- 2 HDD screws necessary for installation were not included) Not a showstopper or problem as I had them from prior units but most users will not have these available. As this is the case, I recommend taking inventory, be slow and steady. Huge plus, the documentation contained in the box provided step by step 'pictogram' and multi-language instruction for the process. The only recommendation- 1) first attach the cable to the new SSD, 2)- attach the SSD to PC cover – two hooks plus the 2 screws (tighten gently). 3) Then attach the dainty ribbon cable connector (white) to the mother board. There is a right/wrong way – align it before you commit. A gentle/even back & forth with a fingernail will seat the connection.Note – when you boot windows for the first time, do not connect to the internet. Recommend ‘partial’ installation. It’s mentioned in other reviews. Always best practice to line out any issues. Also, you’ll need to ‘add’ the new drive. Users can find instructions to do this through the WIN10/11 system support from MSFT. It’s super easy. Finally, it’s about security. As you have a new PC, I strongly recommend using windows bit locker on both the system disk and the secondary data disk in the initial setup. Set this first in your system – it will secure you data at rest. The test – I installed SQL 19 with a 100gb database. This unit was flawless executing scripts. The un-scientific test side by side with my 5urface Laptop Intel 9 64gb work machine running the same scripts on the same data – no observable difference. It stayed cool.I expect this to be a great machine and expect a 5-year lifecycle.Price $719 – coupon $100; add 1 TB SSD $72 upgrade = $691 plus local sales tax A bargain !Note prior reviews from customers observed some differences in units – this should be expected based on differing specifications. This is what I learned purchasing this unit and using it these last five days. A true value punching above its weight class.

Bloody Awesome 👍
This is the first time using such a small unit. My old PC was 12 years old and out of date. So I can fairly compare it to this new powerful mini PC. The quality is very good and I run almost 24/7. It hasn't heated up nor is it noisy. It has a 512 drive that I'll upgrade to a 2gb drive and 32 gb ram which will be upgraded to 64. Mostly used for video editing and my grandkids use for gaming. I absolutely love the small footprint and the amount of options it came with. It can be mounted to the back of your monitor(which is a 32 inch 4K unit). I didn't see the need to do that. Fast, fast, fast is all I can say about the speed. I'm not a high tech computer wizard so I can't share actual specs but if you're on the fence about something different and better than what you have, this is it!

GREAT LITTLE COMPUTER
I had seen these minicomputers advertised for some time and I wanted a main computer to save my laptop for travel. I already had a 27" touchscreen monitor and all other computer externals so there was not much risk. I have never regretted that decision. This is rate in the top 15% by PCMATIC and i do not doubt it for a minute. YOu do have to purchase a USB hub for peripherals. I got both a USB-C and a USB-3.2 gen 2 fully powered hub. There are two USB 3.2 gen 2 ports and a USB-C port but that will probably not be enough. It is cooled by liquid sodium pipes very effectively. It uses an AMD Ryzen chip which is faster than the latest Intel chips. You can add a 2.5" SSD. Or you can use the provided connector to use the latest memory that looks like a ROM card. It is amazingly fast and nothing ever goes wrong. I highly recommend it.

Lightning ⚡ fast mini PC
Really like this mini PC. This version of AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is 6 cores and 12 threads. 32Gs of memory and 512Gs of SSD make this little PC lightning fast. I must have received an improved version because I have not had any problems with the liquid metal cooling. In fact, it has not even gotten hot. Keepsextremely cool. The only issue I have had is with the microphone input. It appears to be a driver issue which I can eventually work out. Also the price is very reasonable for this unit. I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 pro which I am not that crazy about. I believe I will like it more with use. I'm very happy with this mini PC and for the amount of features to price would definitely recommend it.

Very good machine
My first desktop in 24 years, my first mini desktop, my first Ryzen 9 (roughly equal to an Intel Core 9) machine. Love it. Of course, I wish it had more RAM (it has 16GB) and more USB-B ports (it has four), but it works very nicely as is. Most connections are in the back. 5x5x2 inches. It saves a lot of shelf space. My only real complaint is that a week after I paid $600 for it, the price came down to $500. As Charlie Brown would say, ugh! I bought it in January 2023 and I should have waited to see the February-March clearance prices for existing stock. A lesson for all of you. Still, a nice purchase.

Awesome for video editing!
I have a new Dell Laptop with Core i7 processor and integrated Intel graphics. I tried making some videos of my travels and it took about 2.5 hours to render a 30 minute video as MP4 with H.264 compression. this wasn't acceptable so I started researching what would be better (without a huge price tag) and I decided to go with the AMD Ryzen 9 and 5900 graphics.I rendered the SAME 30 minute video on this new PC and it finished in 6 MINUTES! I'm amazed and super happy I bought this for video editing.I live in my RV traveling around the country, so I wanted a small form factor PC and this has been great - quiet and doesn't run too hot. I've been in IT for 20+ years and have never gotten an AMD processor because Intel tends to be the business standard, but this processor runs Windows 11 and all my other applications great. I got lucky when I went to buy this it was on a Lightning deal for $816 for the 32G RAM model. Even without the price break, I think it's a good deal for everything they have packed in it!
