Yes this is actually copper
Was worried - as with so many other wires now implying or outright claiming to be copper when they are not - that this might be aluminium, but it is not (passes flame test). As per the description, the insulation is very soft and flexible. Solders very well too. Decent stuff.

Decent enough for the price
This is decent, low voltage wire at a good price. Strips nicely. The sheath is soft and flexible but the automated strippers do mangle it a little more than most other wires. If you're buying for high resilience and durability, don't come to Amazon and buy something that's around 30p/meter. Solder flowed just fine and joins were solid. Is it really a copper conductor under there? Again I haven't confirmed that and, if you NEED it to be copper, go to a specialist supplier and pay the fee. I'm not entirely convinced that this wire is the full 20AWG but it's close enough and you shouldn't be running anything like this close to the rated Amperage limit anyway. If you have a need for high performance stuff that complies entirely with the specs, again go to Farnell and pay the full price. This stuff is close enough and works well enough. For the price and what it does, this is my new go-to black&red wire. I've just used it to extend a couple of power supply cables and to install new LED lighting in the garage. It'll be used for the LEDs going in the kitchen as well. I will probably think twice before using it on my motorbike given the exposure to the elements. For that, I'll buy the posh stuff or encase this stuff in protective sheathing.

DONT BUY, Terrible quality and Terrible heat resistance.
The product as you can go up to 200°C however this is incorrect you can go up to about 120 before it catastrophically fails. The wire has been in use for less than 24 hours and has field and seven different isolation points – it is only being used on a one amp 12 V wire connection lead for 60 TV and has absolutely no reason to have catastrophically failed other than the lack of quality

Muss man erst reinigen. Funktioniert 1a
