I have been using these tongs with my instant pot and for grilling. Appear to be well made and lock well.

The main reason I purchased these silicone tipped kitchen tongs are for safely removing my ceramic ramekins from a Bain Marie bath. That they do well as well as for anytime I want to move something hot without scratching something. The working ends are covered with a thick layer of silicone. But because the tips are not scalloped and are not very cupped (like my  Edlund Restaurant Tongs - Scalloped: 12 INCH s'), the working ends are not efficient for picking up or grasping cooked food. And the tong lock is too loose: it does not take much to open these tongs which is annoying since the tongs keep opening up in my storage crock.Unlike nylon tipped tongs, I do not expect these silicone ends to fray with use like nylon. I've owned and used Ecko and Calphalon nylon spatulas which are "safe" for non-stick cooking surfaces. But the heated ends of both spatulas began melting and fraying with use. I'm not interested in introducing frayed nylon in my diet.PROS: Great non-slip silicone working ends for removing ramekins from a Bain Marie. Is heat resistant and should not melt or fray like nylonCONS: The lock opens too easily and the working ends do not grip food efficiently and effectively.

My husband loves these tongs. I got him them for Christmas and he has used them a few times. The silicone coated tongs don't ruin our pots and pans. I recommend these for anyone.
