🌸 Elevate your garden game with the ever-changing hues of Wims Red – where every season tells a story.
The Hydrangea paniculata Wims Red is a deciduous potted shrub that grows up to 2.5 meters tall and wide, featuring cone-shaped flowers that transition from white in spring to pink in summer and red in autumn. It thrives best in moist, well-drained soil under full sun but tolerates partial shade. Regular spring pruning enhances flower size and health, making it a vibrant, low-maintenance addition to any garden seeking seasonal color and texture.

Not great quality
Take care if not an established plant, as I received what looked like a very dead plant asked seller for advice, didn’t even receive a reply but I did what I thought might help so wrapped the base of plant very loose and put a mesh cover on so air could still pass through , after a while Tiny .? Buds appeared, so with great hope I’m persevering , but I wouldn’t say it was a quality plant ..?

Not as photo
This comes as a tiny 6 inch plant and I feel very expensive as I can go to a garden centre and buy one much much bigger for the same price My only hope now is that it survives

Slightly Disappointed
I’ve recently purchased one of these plants, but I was a bit disappointed with the condition that it arrived in, the box was damaged, and so was the young plant inside, two leaf stems had completely broken off, the packaging wasn’t very good, as others have also mentioned. I potted up the plant straight away, and it’s now looking a bit better, the flowers are white at present, I hope they do turn red in the Autumn, however I’ve noticed that my plant seems to have cone shaped shoots of flowers, not the more compact shape that is illustrated here.

Maroon Hydrangeas
They look good. But it's a long way to go to see if they thrive in the Scottish weather.

too small, too expensive
I was disappointed in this plant. For £10, I received a very small specimen that will take at least two years to flower, if I'm lucky. For £12 I could have bought a medium-sized hydrangea in bloom at my local supermarket. For £15, I could have bought a full-size, full-flowering shrub in the same place. What I received through amazon should have cost about £5, no more. This is sad, because amazon offers a lot of interesting plants at standard prices, but if they are all this size, I'm gonna pass.
