Poor germination rate = $2.00 per seed!
Only 30% germination rate! These were planted in top quality potting soil on a heat mat. As you can see only 2 of the 6 planted came up. So, $8 for 10 seeds, extrapolating 3 out of the 10 come up. $8/3 =$2.67 per seed!!! Can probably buy already started geraniums for that! What a ripoff! How can I get my $ back? Dig up the seeds to return? I thought that Park seeds was a well respected seed vendor. Perhaps I got a bad batch?UPDATE - After contacting the vendor they refunded my purchase. I appreciate it, but still have lost time to get plants ready for summer. I am adding a star for customer service.

Affordable way to get beautiful geraniums and quick shipping
I've grown Parks seed before but needed these in a hurry.Ten seeds in packet, Parks packaging and in a baggie over the seed packet.Seed looked great, healthy, plump, good color. Planted in a good soilless mix well soaked up but not saturated, each pot covered with saran wrap and put in sunny area to germ. Sprouted over days 3-5, got 9 of 10. Which is good, usually 6-7 is a good germination rate on geraniums. One is a little iffy but the rest are just fine and growing well. I do suggest that you give the ones that haven't shown 10-14 days. In past with this kind I have had a few show up very late.Edit: they are a few inches high now and 5-8 true leaves. Growing very well, sturdy little plants. Bought a second pack, working on nice big cot leaves and 8/10 so far. So germination is very good, and there might be 1-2 more yet.Good inexpensive way to fill my planters with beautiful plants.Very satisfied and would recommend this if you need and want geraniums, they just take a little longer. I do suggest that you plant all of them and if you only need a few, give away or trade to someone else.If you need a LOT of them, buy in two stages. And start a few weeks apart. If you need 100, buy 100 seeds and see what sprouts, then buy according to the percentage you got, that many more seeds to fill out the 100 and plant when those seeds arrive. And this is not a fault of the seed company, this is how it usually goes. The ones I received seemed to be fresh, aka grown in 2020 and packaged for growing year 2021. They were plump, healthy looking, and no broken seeds. Foil pack packed, to keep them viable and in good shape for longer. Parks seed is quality seed and again, I recommend these seeds.Edit 2: the eight are solid healthy plants and in a month 3 of 8 have bloom buds formed-in a month. Were up potted at about 20 days and already starting to circle roots at th bottom of the starter cups. Pictures, some are under grow lights.Edit 3: blooming fanatically. They are about 9 weeks old. One has four active bloom stalks. Didn’t quite need it but up potted to hanging baskets to grow into for spring. Had I known how these were going to grow, I would have started them much later. To going out to harden up, 10 weeks lead time....

Only 3 of the 10 seeds germinated
Of my ten seeds only three germinated. The three that have germinated are growing well, so I know it’s not my growing conditions. I’d expected some not to germinate but thought at least half of them would grow. If their germination rate is low they ought to throw in a few extra seeds to compensate.

High Germination Rate - Fast Growing
I received 11 seeds, 1 more than the stated 10. I was able to germinate 10 of the 11 with the plastic baggie/paper towel method, no need for soaking or stratification. They germinated very quickly; the first one rooted within 48 hours. I did fumble the transfer to pots for 3 of the seedlings, but that was my inexperience and not any issue with the seedlings themselves, as far as I could tell.Since I am growing indoors due to the season, I am using indoor grow lights and standard potting mix. I have 7 healthy plants, 3 of which are about to outgrow their 6" containers at about 8 weeks from planting. The other 4 fit 6" pots nicely still.Although they have not yet bloomed (typical for geraniums), there is clearly a wide variety. Some plants have the red streaking on the leaves common in certain varieties, and others do not. There is also clear variation in leaf color and some ruffling variance. I will update when they bloom to give more details on the variety.

It takes work but all the seeds germinated and all are growing into big healthy plants.
I wanted the Maverick geraniums and could not find the plants. So I bought the seeds and proceeded to grow my own.I had to buy grow lights and seed trays and spend 3 months tending them. BUT, now I have a whole bunch of beautiful 6 inch Geranium babies that I just planted outside in the ground.
