A fantastic addition for learning. It's laid out in a logical and easy format. The lessons are not undertaken too fast, allowing for a true learning experience.

For those who wish to show respect to the Amish by learning some of their language. Simple and yet it allows one to learn enough of the PA German phrases to show respect to an Amish person by speaking their spoken language.

Good book to start learning the basics of this fun language! Only drawback was the pronouciation key is a little off. Was impressing my Amish friends after only a few days of studying!!

This appears to be a useful primer on speaking Pennsylvania German in the style used in the Midwest, outside of Pennsylvania. There are distinct differences between the two styles in spelling, pronunciation, and vocabulary and I wish to focus on the style used in Pennsylvania. Otherwise I would have given it five stars.

Good for self tutoring in the language.

The book is essential to learning the pa German language, I am able to begin speaking with my neighbors in their mother language
