Durable cord covers - still going strong after 5 years
I bought a few of these Electriduct Cable Shield Cord Covers nearly 5 years ago, to manage various stereo-speaker and Ethernet cables that I had running crossing various doorways / entranceways -- on either side of the doorways, I was usually able to secure the cables discreetly against the bottom edge of the walls and/or through the walls or under carpets, etc... But the doorway openings proved challenging, and I didn't want to run extra cables all the way up, over, and around the doorframes... So instead I just routed the cords through these cable shields at each doorway where the cables otherwise would've been exposed these entrance paths (and inevitably the cables would've either been damaged by people walking on them and/or would've tripped people -- plus a tangle of exposed cables would've haven't looked nice at all)....Anyway, my initial impression was that these cable shields did their job just fine -- they were easy to cut to size, and the cords I had routed through them easily enough, and they did the trick of making everything look organized and stay relatively protected... On the other hand, they also seemed a bit pricey for what were really pretty simple flat-tubes of rubbery plastic...It would've been nice if longer lengths or more pieces were provided, and/or if they had an improved felt or silicon lining on the bottom that made them less likely to move around on smooth floors (there is also a two-sided tape option to secure them in place, but there were a couple of spots where I wanted to maintain the flexibility of being able to move them around without having to tear up tape every time -- but it would've been nice if they weren't quite so slidy)...However, I'm upping my rating to five stars because I've now had these cord covers in place in my house across multiple spots for nearly 5 years -- and despite being stepped on and kicked around a thousand times, including by pets and kids -- they still look nearly as good as new. They've never cracked or ripped, the cords they're protecting are all still in great shape, and no one's ever been tripped up by them...So I gotta compliment this product for not only doing it's basic job, but also holding up for the long-haul!

Does the job well.
I was able to hide a coax cable, thin power cord for a 19" tv, and a flat AV cable with the yellow, red, white ends in this CSX-2 Cable Shield Cover. It was easy to cut to size with a box cutter by continually scoring the plastic. The piece snapped off in a clean cut once the score was deep enough. I needed the cover in a tight corner which made it impossible to slide the cover back on the track. Snapping it into place does not work well at all, which to me is a good thing in that you know the cover wont be popping off any time soon. However I needed a rubber mallet to pop the cover onto the track. (And that was in a location that had only the coax cable by itself. Therefore it was not the amount of cables inside, rather the quality of the plastic cover snapping into place keeping it from easily snapping on) The section with the three wires was in a location where I could simply slide the cover back on the track with no issues. So keep this in mind if you are working in tight corners like I was. The adhesive on the back of the track worked very well. No issues there at all. And the faux wood sticker finish was very nice and blended well with my light wood grain paneling. I would definitely recommend.

Works for what I needed. The wood grain color isnβt a match to my floors, but looks much better than the 2 cords used to be able to place my power sectional sofa out to the center of the room instead of having to place it against a wall to be able to use the power reclining feature. π€·πΌββοΈππ»

It's ok and looks very nice. But it has one major flaw
It's ok and looks very nice. But it ha one major flaw. To open it up, you have to slide the cover off completely from the end. It would have been better if you could open the cover from the top or snap it off. This creates a major problem that prevents you from placing it right between two walls or placing two of these right next to each other. For example, if you have a 15 floor shield cover, you need 30 feet of free space because the 15 top cover needs to slide off all the way to the edge (doubling the length to 30 feet) in order for you to then stick the cable through) before you slide the cover back in. Also it is difficult to slide the cover back. So the cable shield is 15 feet and you want to place it in a doorway that is 20 feet, you can't do it because it would be impossible to slide it open to put the cable through. If you want to put two of them next to each other, again you can't do it because the first one will bump into the second one when you slide it open and the second one will bump into the wall when you slide that one open assuming you don't have enough clearance. All could easily be remedied if the design was modified by allowing you to simple open the cover from the top like a lid, putting cable through, and then snapping it shut. That would be a major improvement.

Quality at a Price
I ordered the CX2 in wood grain and I'm impressed with the quality of this product. The wood grain looks good and the material is tough. It looks like it can stand up to some pretty heavy pressure. I did see another review that had a picture where the wood grain had rubbed off due to heavy traffic. Only time will tell. If that happens to me I will update this review. This one's a no brainer but I recommend not being an idiot like me and assuming it will be the correct length by eyeballing it. Like I said this thing is tough so if it's too long and needs to be cut I don't think a pair of scissors will do the trick. You'll probably need a power tool or a hand saw. There are two adhesive strips on the back which is nice so I didn't have to glue it down or buy double sided tape.Pros:+Quality materialCons:-Pricey for the length of materialOverall this is a quality product. I think it's a little pricey so I'd use it in select locations that are in plain view and buy the cheaper stuff for low traffic areas that are out of sight.
