Never scrub a baking sheet or buy parchment paper again! This is the perfect non-stick baking mat!
I am so pleased with these mats. I purchased them after seeing this type of mat being used on many episodes of "Chopped".The mats are the perfect size for my baking sheets. They fit snug in my smaller baking sheet and just right in my larger baking sheet. I have used them to bake everything from cookies, chicken, and garlic bread to shrimp, vegetables, and french fries... and nothing ever sticks (not even the seasoning or juices). A slight "greasy film" may be left on the sheets after baking some foods... but it is easily removed with a wash. When done, I simply place mine in the dishwasher. Of course, I have washed them by hand too and it's the easiest job ever! The outside is a slick silicone and the inside appears to be a very thin, very flexible metal mesh. For that reason, I would not recommend using a knife or cutting food on top of the mat.I have stored the mats both flat and rolled up and they always go right back to their "out of the box" flat form (no curling or rolling up on the edges). I have not purchased parchment paper since I have started using them and it definitely makes cleaning my baking sheets a breeze.I love them so much that I even purchased them as gifts for family members. Would make a great wedding gift!

Smoke Alarm Hazard
Kicked-off the smoke alarm for over an hour! The silpats created a catastrophe at my house. The alarm would not stop sounding unless you stood directly under it, waving a magazine. Had to open doors & windows to air out the house & my puppy got out... it was awful. The neighbots came running,.. embarrassing. I was simply baking plain ol' Toll House cookies at 375 degrees.I didn't know that this type of product would smoke, but on a hunch, I googled it & mystery was solved. I bought them based on the number of high ratings, but from the look at the "recent" reviews of this product, something must have changed. They are going in the trash, it took over an hour to clear the stuborn fumes/smoke out of the house & shut-up the alarm. UGH.

Gave 5 Stars because Amazon's Easy return Policy
I gave 5 stars for 2 reasons.1. Most people look at 5 stars and not 1 star, and I didn't use mats, because of all the 1 star reviews I over looked when buying these mats. People are complaining about the SMOKE that comes off these mats. I have 50 BIRDS and I fear this will harm them. So I didn't use them. Glad I read reviews in 1 star. To many people are complaining about the smoke sets of fire alarms. Only reason I looked at one star, is because I was looking for more tips on how and how not to use them. I bought only to use for Toll House cookies I bake on Air Cooking sheet and parchment paper. I was trying to save on not having to use the paper all the time. Going to buy the Silpat baking mat instead.2. Amazon has excellent return policy on these returnable Artisan mats. Thank you for reading.

Works like a charm and keeps me from having to wash cookie sheets!
I got these silicone baking mats to help me make fruit leather for my daughters. I'd followed a Food Network recipe, which suggested using foil to line a pan. I did and after I cooked the fruit leather, I couldn't get the foil apart from the fruit. Ugh! So many wasted strawberries! But I know other people successfully make fruit leather at home, so I jumped online and read some blogs, which suggested the silicone baking mats. The mats worked perfectly. I bought the baking pan that was listed with it on the amazon listing. The fit wasn't perfect, as one side of the mat didn't cover the pan fully. Not a big deal--I just washed off the overflowed fruit leather (it was maybe a few milometers of a gap). The fruit leather came off of the mat perfectly!!Since then I've used these mats to make cookies. I use them on all of my baking sheets, including my flat cookie sheets and the pan that I bought specifically for these mats. I'm delighted with them! And I LOVE not having to clean my cookie sheets after!! I have a small sink and my cookie sheets don't fit into the sink, so these mats save me some major tough cleaning work!Upon reading the instructions that came with the mats, I learned that I'm not supposed to fold them or roll them up. Eeeks! I wasn't sure I'd be able to store them in my small kitchen! Then I realized that I have a small space underneath a drawer that is maybe half and inch tall. That's where I store them...they just slide right into place and store flat! These are definitely going to be used a lot in my kitchen!

Great to keep food from sticking to cookie sheets and to keep cookie sheets clean
These mats are fantastic. We use them on top of cookie sheets anytime we bake anything. You don't need to grease the cookie sheet with these, and any sticky residue comes off of the mats easily. We use them for everything we bake: cookies, fish, roasted vegetables, chicken, etc.The main downside to them is that they stain easily. Ours are a strange color now, and they don't look very nice. But they're so useful that I don't care how they look.Pros:-Make cleaning cookie sheets so much easier-Don't need to grease cookie sheets-easily fits in dishwasherCons:-They Stain easily-Supposedly if they get cut you have to throw them away because they could leach bad things onto your food
