Best boots ever!
These boots are truly comfy. They put a spring in your step and arenât as heavy as my other boots (Georgiaâs) Those took me 2 weeks of blisters to break in. Today, I wore these to work today, hoping I wouldnât experience the same pain as I got from the Georgia brand. They were truly like wearing slippers, kid you not. I work 10 hr days and Iâm on my feet all day. I just got home and took them off and my feet feel fantastic. No squished toes, no blisters, no pain. Fantastic! If youâre unsure of what to buy, these are superb. Try a pair and save yourself from having to break in hard leather that doesnât fit to form like these do. Kudos to Chippewa for making a work boot thatâs so easy to wear.

Great boots even though they aren't the American-made ones!
These were my first pair of leather work boots I have ever owned. I have had these for about a year now, and I always get compliments on these boots. I don't work construction or anything, but I can say these are comfortable and I wear them almost every day. I used to always wear sneakers and I decided to get some boots to protect my ankles from rolling if I stepped wrong as I jumped out of my car during my delivery job, and to protect my self from small dogs that seem to go for ankles. Also the steel toe is a bonus, but of course it sometimes give my toes a bit of a discomfort. I have taken these to concerts and I can bounce around and of course people with lesser quality shoes will get mad at me for stepping on their toes, but I don't have to experience that feeling, or ever lose my shoes from having to push back and forth to stay in front row. I can remember when I first tried these on, they were really comfortable, but I made sure to buy my own insoles just in case, and I have never had problems from standing or walking in them for too long. If you buy this specific model, get good insoles! Also, they are actually pretty water resistant! There have been days where it's raining hard and I'd step in some deep puddles-- not completely submerging the boots, but getting up to the laces-- and my feet stayed dry. I guess the oil job and the seal on these boots was done well. I have also been on a small hiking trail (just a mile or two) and I have been to the beach quite a few times and gotten sand all over the laces and there is no sand or rocks in my boots and the leather still looks great! Of all the random places I have been wearing these boots, there is only a scratch on the leather on one foot-- probably from kicking something. These make great everyday boots if you dont mind the weight of the shoe and the steel toe.I am considering buying a soft toe version for hiking, and maybe buying another steel toe, but this time the American made version.

Great Boots !
Probably the most comfortable and reliable pair of logger/climbing boots I have ever had. I had to push for shipping but I eventually received the correct boots. No regrets

Day one review
UPDATE: Already separating from the sole. Smell has not gone away though it isnt as strong. Laces are fell apart after 2 months. Leather is holding up. Get a size wider than you normally do, the steel toe is slim. Price is ridiculous for the quality.will update this review after the break in period.First thing to note. These boots are made in Vietnam, which is why they are not priced higher. I've had plenty of asian made boots last me 4+ years of heavy use. One pair of vietnam made docs lasted walking 60 miles round trip to and from work for 6 months, after daily wear for 2 years before that and i still have them with only minor damage. The ornament shown in the pictures is not included. Comes with false bill for protection of the actual bill, but i will not be using them, as i think false bills look stupid, and you cant be looking stupid when you're new boot goofin. they came wrapped in plastic to protect the leather. only slight cosmetic issues on the welt, but all the stitching appears to be sound.as expected, these boots are tight. as with every boot ive ever owned, they initially feel too tight, but this is what you want with leather boots. the idea is that they will kinda suck to wear for a few weeks. all of the best boots ive ever owned have been this way, and i am not concerned about it at this point. i do not plan to "speed up" the break in period with alcohol or water or heat. i intend to let the boots form to my foot.Next thing to note, the laces are waxed, and stay tied rather well. They seem rather high quality. the product description does not mention this, but it is an important aspect of higher quality work boots. the speed hooks are well placed, and easy to hook into quickly. The smell of these boots is pretty strong. the smell is a mixture of the rubber sole and the leather. both being new, id assume they will shed the smell for a few days before they start just smelling like leather, and eventually like rancid foot.the insole is not squishy or over padded. being that a work boot is meant to last, the leather with mold to your foot, and be very comfortable AFTER the break in period. do not think that these are going to be super comfy right out of the box, that is not how good boots work, and if your boots are instantly comfortable, they're going to stop being comfortable once they DO get worn in.all things considered, i am hopeful that these will last me many years, and i will be back with an update once i get these babies broken in.

On my 3rd pair. Best boots Iâve ever owned
As an extremely picky boot connoisseur I have to say hands down Chippewas are my favorite. I wear timberlands or redwings to beat up at work, but these are my favorite. Theyâre much better looking than the competition and they last forever. I have an oddly wide foot that often requires me to buy half a size to a full size up with steel toes. Not with Chippewas. These have a nice roomy toe box that fits my wide feet. The soles wear great. The leather is tough and withstands lots of abuse. These are the good looking do everything shit kickers you want. I always get compliments on these. I walk and hike a lot. I wear boots every day and most other brands of boots last me about 6 months of daily wear. My last pair of Chippewas lasted me 3 1/2 years of daily wear. Iâm a lifer for Chippewa boots. Theyâre worth double what they cost.
