COMPLETE GARBAGE, Don’t waste your money.
I recently purchased the PoolCandy Splash Runner Motorized Pool Lounger and, unfortunately, my experience with this product has been extremely poor. Here are some key points regarding its quality, durability, and value for money: Quality: The quality of the Splash Runner leaves much to be desired. The motor slits on each armrest lack any extra supportive material, making them prone to deforming even after minimal use. On my first raft, these slits became stretched and deformed after just one day in the sun, which caused the motors and joystick not to sit properly, resulting in a very flimsy feel. Even after being extra cautious with my second raft and storing it indoors when not in use, the slits still deformed within a week. Durability: The durability of the motors is another major issue. The product comes with a rubber seal in the wire connection between the joystick and the motor, supposedly to ensure a watertight fit. However, on my first raft, I discovered that only one of the motors came with this seal, leading to extreme corrosion after just one day. On the second motor, the seal broke off almost immediately. When it came to my second raft, despite buying my own seals and disassembling the motors to store them indoors, one motor still died within about a week and a half. Furthermore, the battery housing units on each motor, which are also supposed to be watertight, had defective seals straight out of the box. One seal was glued incorrectly, and if I hadn’t taken the time to re-glue it, it would have broken immediately. This clearly indicates a lack of quality control. Value for Money: At a price point of $160, the PoolCandy Splash Runner Motorized Pool Lounger is far too expensive for the quality and durability it offers. For a product that lasts only a few weeks at best, it is simply not worth the money. If this product were priced at $30-$35, at least you’d be paying for what you’re getting. But at its current price, it’s a complete rip-off. Overall this would be a great product for 30-35 dollars, because at least at that point you’re paying for what you’re getting. But $160 is pretty steep for a product that’s going to last for a couple weeks at best. I don’t recommend at all. One star only because I can’t put zero. Save your money and go with something else.

Very fun!
It took a minute to figure out how to center the motors and adapt to the controls, but it's very fun to motor around in it! I took it to a lake with some pretty intense wake patterns and it responded beautifully! My new favorite water toy!

Manufacturer Took care of the issue
One of the two motors broke after a few uses, I am about a month late on the return window, trying to get in touch with the manufacturer to see if they will remedy the situation. It's too expensive of a raft for anything to break after a few uses. Was great while it was working! Edit: the manufacture sent us out a new motor, I called them, they looked up the amazon order, and sent me a new motor. Very easy and great customer service!

Motors don’t last
**Product Review:** The float works perfectly fine and is exactly as described. However, I’m disappointed with the quality of the motors. Both motors died after about a month of use, and I haven’t been able to find suitable replacements. This really affects the overall functionality and value of the product. If the motors were more reliable or replacements were easier to find, it would be a much better purchase.

A little pricey, and not sure it'll be very durable. Needs lots of batteries.
I ordered this as a christmas gift for my wife, as we've had a pool installed. The chair was relatively easy to put together. It's a lot of fun and easy to control once you get the hang of the two controllers and the fact that you can rotate them (so one forward, one in reverse will let you turn on the spot). Now the downsides... 1) the main chamber of our chair started deflating when left for an hour or so - a slow puncture. It was like this out of the box. We eventually found the leak and used a glue-like repair paste on it, which sorted the problem. 2) one of the motor units didn't work a few days after we'd first used the chair. It had been left outside and got rained on a little which might have caused the issue. I narrowed the problem down (by switching parts between the 2 separate units) to the battery box. Further testing with an electrical tester showed one contact was a little bad. I found adding a little ball of aluminum foil between battery and contact gave a better contact. 3) there are 6 x 1.5v batteries in each of the 2 motor units. 12 batteries to buy and replace! Despite being designed for use on water the battery box doesn't seem to like the rain. I would certainly not want to risk the chair tipping over or getting splashed too much in the pool. We store it in the garage after each use. We kept it away from children when we had visitors as I don't feel confident it would endure the rougher use that children would give it, and the batteries would be flat pretty soon. For me, and my wife its good fun - its great to be able to motor to the deep end to find some shade and friends really enjoy trying it out. We don't use the motors for hours on end, just a burst to get to other end of pool. I'm not confident it will be durable enough to last a long time - I wouldn't be so bothered if it were cheap, but at this price I'd feel disappointed if it did fail after just a few uses.
