I got these mostly as additional enrichment for my aging blue and gold macaw. It gives her a rewarding foraging activity that she greatly enjoys, and is an excellent source of methionine, an essential amino acid that promotes healthy beak and feather growth. My other birds also enjoy them, chopped and served with their other food.The are well packaged, fresh, and available all year round, unlike what I can find locally, which is only a couple of months each fall. I'm very happy with Nuts U.S. and will continue to order from them.

Most are very good.
I found that about 1/3 of the nuts are rotten and after cracking have to be thrown away. Not sure if this is normal.
