Excellent and so easy to use. Superb suction.
Easily as powerful suction as my Dyson, especially pet hair. But so much easier to use than a Dyson. And emptying it means no grubby hands from trying to hook out the dirt. If you are disabled then this is definitely the Hoover to go for. I was worried my Dog would try attacking it but he’s actually a little intimidated by it and skulks off to another room. He thinks he’s been usurped by Max. So glad I chose this hoover above the any others. Love it! My house is now clean!

dubious function in small and irregular areas
Max (as this item is called in the manual) is a good looking item, and he arrived on the appointed day as promised, the packing was sturdy and not excessive. The manual was well written and adequate to get started, but could have had a little more elaboration on what to expect and how to treat him. After charging he was set to start his duties. Max left his charging station and started his navigation around the living room.I watched him carefully, and the dog got behind me so I would be first if he attacked. (That’s what humans are for). Max negotiated around solid square objects well, but had difficulty with the office type chairs with the 5 pronged feet. Then he started in a strait line -sort of. It was more of a j-walk across the room, at that point he seemed to have amnesia and started to move repeatedly over the same patch of carpet. I tried to encourage him to go in another direction, by picking him up and placing him where I wanted him to head. He immediately demanded to be placed back on the floor in almost panic tones. Then instead on heading off in the direction he could do the most good, he declared he was “re-orientating” and spun around a few times and stubbornly went off on some amble of his own choosing. I gave up on the living room, its furniture was too irregular for him and sent him over the same space with no apparent attempts to organise a different pattern. I placed him in the passage with all the doors closed except the one at the end, expecting him to travel in a strait line. His first traverse of the terrain followed the wall and door ways, and he turned and came back, turned again but instead of taking a parallel path to his first, he started on another J-walk back over what he had already covered. He insisted on always moving in an East -West pattern even in a part of the corridor that was North-South.He did get under the book case and sofa where there was a good space, and navigated to corners I do not get with the standard Vax, but the space under the TV stand was too low and he got stuck. Even so he complained and demanded to be put down, no thanks for being rescued!I tried him again the next day, but his behaviour was no better orientated and large portions of the floor were not cleaned. Where he did go most of the dog hair was removed so the cleaning ability was acceptable.I came to the conclusion that a robotic device does not yet have adequate navigational capabilities for a small domestic, well furnished house with irregular boundaries. So my association with Max was short lived.

Constantly gets stuck or malfunctions only had it for a week
So in my opinion this Hoover looks the part and comes in excellent packaging. The hoover has amazing suction power and is easy to set up. If and when it works its a great hoover but .........So my house has mainly laminate floors with 1 low pile rug in my living room, the hoover gets stuck often on the rug and sends a message through the app to your phone. A few times I have found the hoover near the rug but not stuck on anything - the catch is you have to then reset the hoover manually and then start it over again using the app. This morning I came down to an error that the drive wheel was stuck and to spin it to clean, there is no obstruction to the drive wheels and you cannot manually maintain them. I restarted the hoover and it worked again for another 5 minutes before saying the same message. For the price I would expect a better product and I will be returning it ASAP.I am very disappointed with this product.

Works well, powerful, smart tech
The media could not be loaded. This robot hoover is called Max and I feel I'm seeing a little bit into the future when it operates. I am wondering if the company has updated their app because I have not had any issues with it like other reviewers had.It has really good suction power and gets rid of all the dust, hairs and general dirt from both laminate floors and fitted carpets. It is also quite persistent and eventually finds its way under sofas, TV tables and chairs. It can get stuck when there's loose carpets or a lot of cables but I'm guessing that's all robot hoovers. It gives you an error message on the app so you can go and help it, it calls out for help telling why it's stuck or it tries to find its way back to the charging station. If the floor is the same level throughout, it finds it's way into all rooms. It doesn't clean corners or near the walls very well but that's expected as it's round. It's great for maintaining an overall clean floor if you use it daily. You probably still need to use a handheld hoover around corners once a week or so. It tells you when it has finished cleaning a space and then goes back to the charging station by itself. With the app you can schedule cleaning times. The camera works fine and it's clear. You can operate it manually too so you can go somewhere in the house if you want to see something. It can be a little slow at times depending on Internet speed. It says you can check on your pets and you can but they'll probably be spooked by it so won't want to go near it! The instructions are very clear and the set up took 2 mins. Cleaning it is also easy and quick. It can operate for 2 hours straight before it needs charging. It goes back to the charging station by itself. I'm not sure how the map works and if it remembers the space it cleaned for next time but it seems to get more and more "confident" and doesn't bump on things as much.Overall I definitely recommend it, however it works best in open plan spaces with not many obstacles.
