It does not cut stainless steel cable of 5/32"
I bought this cable cutter for stainless steel cable of 5/32" according to the add statement. It did cut well on the first 3 times, but with a huge amount of force. After that, it started to chew the cables as you can see by the pictures. It is not good for 5/32" at all.

Very Happy With Product & Seller!
I am very pleased with the heavy duty wire cutters that I purchased. The cutters seem to be a quality product and do exactly what it's described to do. The Sellers seem to be friendly and creative and stand behind their products. The packaging included sample wire/cables to "practice on" which was helpful and fun. I would definitely order from this Seller again!

Poorly designed.
They seem OK but the cutting surfaces cross while the handles are still far apart, so you have to use 2 hands to cut (!) Kind of a major flaw for a small cutter that is basically a wire cutter. For bolt cutters or large wire rope shears you expect to use 2 hands, but not at this size.

about the same
About the same as the 7.5" but no spring to reopen the jaws. There is more room on the handles to allow you to apply more leverage but it's still an effort to cut 1/8" cable. They need to find a quality ratcheting cutter that gives mechanical advantage and allows one hand operation

Not an everyday use tool.
Haven't had these very long or used them very much but blade is already starting to dent in. Use them mostly for cutting braided steel wire. Should have trusted my gut and spent the few bucks extra on the Knipex brand. If you may only need them once in a while, then give'm a whirl. If you would be using them for everyday use or professionally, buy a name brand that you know.

Can cut cable at home now!
I really love my new cable cutters..I feed lots of birds and like every where else, I have lots of squirrels who invade the feeders. They jump onto the feeders and the wire breaks.I have lost plenty of feeders to squirrel invasions and largely because most of the feeders are not constructed withwire that is heavy enough to withstand the squirrels . Therefore I have tried to replace the wire with heavier grade cable but was unable to cut the cable until now, necessitating trips to the hardware store or Lowe's or Home Depot. Now I can fix the problem at home! Thanks for this great affordable tool!

A great tool that cuts cleanly.
Just what I was looking for, a tool that cuts wire without frayed ends! Took a couple of false turns with other tools but this tool gets the job done cleanly. They even sent samples of wire, stranded wire and cable cut with this tool to further show its capability. I would buy from this company again.

Failed but seller is trying to make it right
Snapped into two pieces after making less than 15 cuts. Bolt holding the handles together filed. Luckily I wasn't hurt. The description said the cutters could handle 1/8 stainless steel cable...clearly not. Returned to Amazon.Update 10/10/19...Seller immediately responded after my return and feedback. They are shipping me a replacement to see if it was an isolated issue. Update to follow once I use it to cut some cable.
