no, it's an active sub. i.e. has built in amp.

Does this active Sub also power external speakers, or only the sub itself? IE: can it power a pair of diamond 9.2 bookshelf speakers too?

The sub only powers itself. You need to take a signal from the amp that powers the speakers to feed the sub. This can be line level or the speaker output.

Can I connect this to the kanto yu6 speakers?

Looks like it should work fine if you connect a single RCA from the Kanto sub output to either one of the RCA inputs on the Wharfedale👍🏻

Can it be connected to av receiver with one rca cable like most other subs?

Yes, will work fine through RCA, I had connect as both left and right, in stereo. Now just using one line, working brilliant. I have a second sub ready to go in using the other RCA line.. Great sub.
