This camera takes very good photos, and the shutter speed is good so we don't miss the special moments. I love how compact it is, and the auto-settings are straightforward. My only complaint is that once you take a picture, the screen goes blank and there's a delay before it shows you the photo. I'm accustomed to digital cameras instantly showing me my pic on the screen, so the delay is off-putting, but doesn't interfere with the quality of pics. If you're trying to take several pictures in quick succession, it might interfere a bit, though.

I bought this for my husband take for his fishing trip so that he wouldn't have to use his phone (customers still call even though they know you are on vacation) and it fit very well in his pocket and then with piece if Velcro on the strap it hung very conveniently by the steering wheel of the boat, for a quick shot he just grabbed it and got the fast picture. The quality of the pictures were also excellent and very sharp.

Purchased as a holiday gift. Recipient did not like camera, said quality of images was bad. I took the camera to Disney World and shot many hundreds of photos to test. Recipient was right. Awful, awful, shameful quality! As a loyal Sony-everything customer for decades I was shocked and disappointed that they would put such a camera on the market. Tried to return it but too late, company refused to accept it. (Won't do business with them again.) Now I no longer trust Sony. Our lifelong relationship is on the rocks. Sad...(I am writing this review 6 years late, the camera is by now obsolete - but Sony if you're out there, I just wanted you to know)

It's too small,I was expecting a regular sized oneI alway broughtThis must be my 6th Sony cameraAnd I never seen one so small.

slow in capturing and getting display of the photos taken.Calrity is also not good when compared with canon of same specifications.

This camera takes photos that are adequate for the price of the camera. It is not as stable as it claims as many photos come out with motion blur. It has trouble seeing in low light.

I actually ended up returning this camera. It felt cheep right away when I opened it. There is a silver plastic piece running across the top that was loose and the on/off button was difficult to engage. I had high hopes when I ordered it but was really disappointed.
