Lower back pain, GET THIS!
First off, don't mind the messy bed, just getting it set up in the picture. I have had lower back problems for 20+ yrs, and recently started having neck issues as well. Before the neck pain, I was a side sleeper, I laid on the side that would open the spacing on my disks, and it would relieve my pain. But, every morning when I got up, I felt like a truck hit me. When my neck started giving trouble, I could no longer sleep on my side, because my arm would go to sleep. And I couldn't sleep flat on my back, because I would wake up thinking I was paralyzed. So, I started sleeping in a recliner. Believe it or not, I could wake up feeling pretty good. I've slept in a recliner for about 3 yrs, and that got me thinking about an adjustable bed. I bought this one because it had great reviews, and it's a reputable brand. I've only slept in it 2 nights, but it's amazing! When I first get it adjusted like I like it, my pain almost disappears. And I have slept through the night without waking. Getting up, I'm not hunched over moaning. This is the best thing Ive done for my sleeping. I'm using a queen Allswell hybrid mattress from Sam's club, and so far, I like it. May try to get a Sven &son one day. But it you have neck spurs, or lower back degenerative disk / bulging disk, I can vouch for getting an adjustable bed frame, and I really like the quality of this one. Set up was pretty fast, and it fits between the rails of my queen rice bed. I used a cordless drill with the clutch set, and an Allen bit to put it together. The Allen that comes with the bed is pretty soft and will round out. I may update my review after about a month. The frame is well built, but as with any adjustable frame, don't let kids jump on them, and I believe it will last.

Good adjustable frame. Great price.
Works well. It is very heavy. Easy to put together.

For the price it seems great!
Installation/assembly was super easy. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Just snug the bolts is all that you need. My wife and I assembled and had it up and running in about 1 hour. That's with a bad back. So, if you are relatively healthy, you would be faster. In the box it is heavy... A little lest than 200 pounds. We opened the box outside and carried the pieces in. Velcro on the boards go down. Don't tilt it on the legs. The boards are not the sturdies. It says maximum weight is 1,500 pounds. I'm not certain of that information. However, I am a bigger guy with back issues and it holds both my wife and myself (6'2"- 320), and lifts us with no issues at all. The bed seems around the same height as with our frame and box foundation, so that is nice. Remote is intuitive. However, the flashlight really seems like a waste, but you never know when it might be handy. For the price I paid, I won't complain much. The pictures show a sleek black cover over the boards. Just know that it is not included, nor are the headboard brackets. I ordered both from the Sven and Son website, as I did not find anything that specifically was for this frame on Amazon. Those items were around $97. Overall, I think this will be alright for us. and if anything wears out, it looks like you could get replacement parts at a hardware store. If a board breaks (unlikely), you could cut a piece to replace it fairly easily. Motors, remote, and control box would be a propriety replacement, I'm sure. If this thing will lift me, I figure it would lift most of you with ease.

Just read...
I ordered two of the Essential Twin XL's with an original delivery date between May 14-19. Delivery company was a pain to work with. However, Jenae H. at Sleepgeekz was amazing. When I called, Jenae answered and said she would help me with my issue. And boy did she. Delivery company would never give us a definitive date in when the items would be delivered. They said that it "could be" either the 20th or 21st. Then, they told my wife that it "could be" the 21st or 25th. This was unacceptable and the reason I called Sleepgeekz. Jenae called the delivery company. She kept in constant contact with me (even working on my issue while "off the clock"...which I know she was off the clock because of the time that she texted me). She was a pleasure to work with and I hope that the higher-ups at Sleepgeekz realizes what they have in her as an employee. Quite honestly, she's the reason I didn't cancel my order. Kudos to her... She is outstanding! Now, on to the bed. I really, really like this bed. It is quiet, seems sturdy, and is very comfortable. I'm definitely glad I made this purchase. Concerning questions and answers on the Amazon site for this product: some people have no business answering questions. I appreciate that they're trying to be helpful, but their lack of knowledge about stuff is atrocious. I honestly wonder if they own a pair of shoes that is secured with anything other than Velcro. For example, look up a question about programming the remotes. I'll save you some trouble here; 1 remote CAN control both twin xl beds; the manual shows you how to do this. Also, if someone asks about the king, don't tell them you don't know because you only have the queen. Get a hobby and let the adults who can help answer the questions. Arghhhhhhh. I'd like to see Amazon cull through the answers and clean up some of this junk. TL;DR - Jenae H. @ Sleepgeekz is awesome!

Buy it.
I researched adjustable bases for my king bed for several months. Based on the reviews, this is the one I bought. The reviewers didnโt let me down and I could not be happier. It is so sturdy and well made. I have no doubt it will last a long time. I had a metal bed frame to which my headboard is attached, and this one fit right on top of it with the feet of the new base fitting perfectly inside of my metal frame. There is no way to attach a headboard to this base, so I was glad to have the option to keep my old frame with attached board. The new base is about 5โ higher than the old standard metal frame as well. The bed feels about the same height as my old bed without the box springs I had before. This purchase completes my home theater bedroom along with my new 65โ tv placed right in front of it. Very happy with purchase!! The only warning I have is that while instructions say 2 adults are required for the king size, it was VERY difficult to get this inside, open, and in place with only 2 people. This thing is HEAVY and itโs awkward to move because you have to pick it up from the frame which is far underneath the base. It was very tough. But with patience, sweat, and strategy, we got it.

So far so good!
It was easy to assembled. 1. First you have to carefully get it out of the box. 2. Cut the zip ties to open the bed up. 3. The feet were all one piece and just screw in. I did need a partner to help flip the bed so that there was no shearing weight on the legs. 4. Plug it in and make sure the motors work. 5. Flatten and screw in all 40 nuts. Tighten with provided Allen wrench. 6. Put the bar on the bottom. Worked right away with people sitting on it. If anything changes I will change this review.

DOES NOT Work With Headboards
Overall it's a good basic adjustable bed. I'm a big guy and it's pretty sturdy. But when I went to add a headboard, it's been a terrible experience. While support does answer the phone, they have no idea how their own beds work. Over the course of six weeks, too many phone calls to remember, and a lot of broken promises to follow up, they shipped me four different sets of brackets before telling me they just don't know how to put a headboard on my bed. It makes no sense. If I had it to do over again, I'd spend a little more and buy a different brand.

93 Years Old & Loves It!
The shipping box was very badly damaged, banding was intact, however the bed inside looked OK. I accepted delivery and the UPS Driver helped as well as noting the shipping damage. I cut the banding and it came out of the box in amazingly great condition, no damage at all to the bed and all the parts were onboard as they are packed inside the folded bed & frame. Assembly was about 30 minutes and did so on my own as, be warned, this bed is nearly 150lbs., it's a Queen Size. It only takes a few minutes to learn the remote operations and the unit runs smoothly, quietly and gently robust. This bed is for my 93 year old Mother, whom like many her age has compromised health concerns; congenative heart failure, nearly blind from macular, bad bones, joints, arthritis, etc.; she learned the beds basic functions in less than 5 minutes and loves it! Note that she had her own foam matress which, works great with this unit and as a bonus the rubberized caps on the bed legs do not allow the bed to slide on her hardwood floors, a big plus! Solid operation, no unwanted movement since she's the only one in the bed there's no rocking or tipping, she feels completely safe. She has been using this bed now for nearly 4 weeks, no complaints and is, of course, sleeping better. All this is important for her as she wants to be as independent as possible and this unit aids in her efforts. Also note, when I accepted delivery I contacted the seller before openning the shipping box to understand exactly the steps which needed to be taken in the event of damage, know that this company made it clear to us that they were behind us in anyway required no matter what, they were completely supportive and wonderful to work with. We recommend this bed frame unit with confidence and satisfaction.
