Great product for cats!!!! Slim Line. Easy to use! Finally something that works well for kitties!
Great little pill popper for cats~ We use a size 3 empty gelatin capsule and fill it with meds (some tablet, some powder form), insert the capsule into the soft tip holder, and when ready, it's easy to get this device in a cat's mouth & back far enough that they'll swallow the capsule! We also give our gal a little chaser of salmon oil, Ubiquinol and some liquid holistic meds in a separate feeding syringe. She enjoys that and it makes sure her pill has gone all the way down. Tastes much better than H2O! The plunger is easy to use, glides easily. Cleans up well. We were using a MUCH larger pill popper because that's all our local pet stores carried, but that was sheer torment for the cat, and us, too! We liked buying 2 of these. We'll always have a spare around. Never want to go back to the Four Paws style or the bullet styles.......great for dogs, I guess, but the slim line of this one is Purr-fect for felines! :)

Not what was advertised...beware
seller failed to respond to my complaint that these are not the same as advertised and as previously purchased. Much more difficult to use, won't hold the pill correctly. I also wanted the display case so I could sell these at a fund raiser.would not recommend these or the sellerthey agreed to give me my money back but I have to pay to send it to them. Not sure it's worth my effort as I live many miles from a post office. by the time I get there and pay postage I will have spent several dollars more and gone to extra effort. I'm going to give them away to people who are willing to use them, I'm not. I have the soft tipped kind, have never had a tip break off and use them over and over again.

Finally a good pill popper!
My 15 year old cat requires twice-daily medication. The pill poppers we have been using for several years are wearing out and I had no idea I was going to have SUCH a chore finding a good replacement. If Amazon has a pet piller listing, I can promise you we have bought it and tried it (and thrown it away). THIS ONE is the best (seller Blue Frog). I bought the two pack and just came back to buy two more. The rubber tip is truly soft, holds the pills well, and doesn't have anything that could hurt your pet's mouth. You will need to look closely to find the little slits on each side. I rubbed them with my fingernail and they opened up. This will make it easier to put in a larger pill. If you have a small pill, you may want to try to keep it intact. My cat takes two 1/4 tablets (each pill quite small) twice a day so I smoosh a little bit of those Greenies pill pockets around them which makes them fit in a piller better and helps if the pills don't go down the first time and he chews them. With the sides opened up on this popper, I can fit in his dose with the Greenies around it. You can also gently pull the plunger out for cleaning. Anyway, two huge thumbs up from me. This is the best pill popper out there, for our needs anyway.

Tip can come off and go down pets throat!
There is a reason why this is advertised as 'single use'...the product does start to break down from washing and use. The soft plastic tip will come off. This happened to me as I gave my cat her pill. The plastic tip and pill went right down her throat resulting in an expensive vet trip. Luckily they were able to give her a shot to make her throw up immediately...plastic tip, pill, breakfast, everything came back up. Up until that time it was the best pill popper I have used in 40 years of cat ownership. I consider this my fault though, as I did note when I bought it, it was designated as a 'single use'. The tip came off in my hand when washing it right before I used it on her that last time...I should have known that it was going to happen when I stuck it down her throat, especially since I coat it with coconut oil to make everything really go down easier. I did just buy 2 more, and will be VERY AWARE that this can happen. There is no better way to pill a cat that I have found...I will just be very, very careful and replace them much more often.

Its Ok.
Its Ok, Takes a little getting used to. It does the job most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work a well. I am glad that i have it as it is a good tool to have just in case you need it.

Fantastic Product that is helping to save my cat's life!
My kitty was recently (suddenly) diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, a serious and fatal disease if not medicated. This guy is NOT a pill taker and the old pill giver we had was failing us with the four daily pills we were giving. Bought two of these and pill giving got real easy. We do place a towel down on an open secretary desk, place the kitty on it, and bundle him by pulling the towel over one side, then the other while standing behind him so he cannot escape. We then lift his head up towards us and this pet piller allows a direct hit way in the center back of his mouth, so he doesn't have time to shove it forward with his tongue. I cannot tell you how much having these pet pillers has helped us deal with this disease. I will NEVER be without this product so long as I own cats.

Works perfectly
I received the version with the clear soft silicone tip with slits on both sides to accommodate different-sized pills. Came as a 2-pack. Worked perfectly for small 100mg gabapentin capsules for my two cats. If it matters at all, my cats are on the larger side - one is 13 pounds, one is 19 pounds. The first thing I did when I got them (after seeing reviews stating the tips broke off into pet's mouths) was test the tips - they wouldn't budge. Just to be safe, I taped them down with a bit of shipping tape (completely smoothed/flattened to not cut the inside of my cat's mouths) to make sure they weren't going anywhere. When it came time to give the pill, filling the syringe with a bit of water and coating the pill in butter worked like a charm. Would definitely recommend and purchase again. These made a difficult situation a lot easier.
